I was expecting IV+V to be added to the original three as a DLC, simply because I don't think trying to unfuck VI would be worth any publishers time.

If I had to take a guess, given they hired fans to remake the first trilogy, I'm going to assume they talked with the guy who made the Restoration mod for TR6, and maybe the other guy who was working on his own "Definitive Edition" release of the game that's still unfinished to this day.

I can't believe their touching Angel of Darkness in this. The only good thing I got out of that game was the Lara Croft bobble head for pre ordering.

Thankfully my copy came as a bonus with my sound card (at least the game sounded fantastic), but that didn't help the amount of times the game broke, crashed, or had me clip through the floor on an adequately spec'd PC at the time. That actually makes me curious if this new version will try to replicate the EAX features it had on PC, even though the PC release lacked shit the PS2 version had (iirc, motion blur, some other visual effects, non-tank controls, but the fan patches try to bring those back).

The game's video settings is still the most kitchen-sinked approach I've seen on a PC release, followed by anything Croteam's made.

I was never super into them. Though in hindsight I think I was vaguely aware of 4.
