Was talking with my coworker today, what would you guys consider the Mendoza line for OPS? I say 650 he said 700. No real answer obviously.

If you google it there's a couple threads on reddit from the last few years, consensus seems to be in the .500 to .600 range

The Yankees have to lead the league in bean balls this season. Clay Holmes drilled Kjerstad in the back of the head in the 9th inning and caused the benches to clear.

It clearly wasn’t intentional. Down pouring rain and before that it was already humid as hell with everyone sweating through their cheap fanatics jersey.

I do like how O’s fans are coming out the woodwork pretending to have watched baseball for more than 5 minutes though. Half of them probably think Cal Ripken is still playing.

And it wasn’t Holmes who caused the benches to clear. He was clearly apologizing and trying to make sure the dude was alright. Everyone was ready to move along.

O’s manager on the other hand will almost certainly be suspended.

I didn't watch the whole game, I have no idea why Hyde was stroking out on the field. No one hits a guy in the head on purpose, but the Yankees pitchers have no idea where the ball is going after it leaves their hand.

Been watching since 2012, thanks. Both teams are in a free-fall, but the Yanks have beaned more than anyone else all year, yet cry the loudest when one of theirs gets touched.

Benches cleared because the O's are tired of getting beaned by the Yanks all season. Pretty simple shit. This shit doesn't exist in a game-exclusive bubble. Its been going on all season.
