honestly don't need 1+ billion damage, hardest optional boss on NG+ has maybe 100mil HP, there's plenty of ways to one shot them lol
While we are at it. What are some good Monoco skills that ramp up to really big dmg?
Sakapatate Fire is the basic option to just deal crazy high damage in a single turn. But it costs 9 AP so even with the super AP building you have towards the end of the game it's not something you can do every turn
Lampmaster Light requires some effort to properly build around, but in a game with so many broken options it ended up being my damage option of choice for building around. Effectively doubles in damage every time you cast it, and with the buff from Almighty Mask + the 30% damage buff from his Nusaro Weapon I could eventually drop like 4 million damage per cast with it. For a skill that only costs 5 AP that's crazy work. Unless I needed something specific from him (like Break or applying Mark) I would just spam that every single turn.
Duallist Storm is really good as a Break tool, unless you have a mass Gradiant Charge build and spam his level 3 Gradiant Skill which instantly breaks the enemies lol

Ultimately, I am absolutely mind blown. If worlds most talented developers did a 1 on 1 interview with me and developed the game the result would be something close to this. Everything I love and value in a JRPG is here in a very pronounced way, phenomenal music, tremendous battle system, no-nonsense loot system (seriously, look for inspiration here FFVII Remake team), no boring side quests that make you go "why the fuck am I doing this ffs", good deal of optional bosses etc. etc.
10/10, Masterpiece. It was an unforgettable experience.
I'll take a break and go for Platinum on this one.
Platinum wasn't too hard to get, if your goal is just the platinum you can easily one shot any of the optional bosses multiple ways, if you try to fight them the normal way for a challenge then yeah they can be a bit tough, but overall not too bad.
I'm still trying to decide if I like the act 2 twist or not
Spoiler: show
I'm a slow player so it'll be at least a week before I actually wrap this up
i normally am not the biggest fan of those kinds of tweests either but Clair does some very interesting and compelling business with it throughout Act 3 and through the endings so keep on keepin on my guy
Fair enough. Report back with my feelings after I actually finish
The initial reveal of said plot element definitely reminded me of

which I hated, but the general concept is handled so much better here. Especially by the end of the game
Is your spoiler at end of act 2 level or end act 3 level?

It’s funny, when my friend and I were discussing that twist I usedas my example as well.Spoiler: show
