One of the journals is found in the final area as you are approaching the end boss so if you end up missing one, that’s where it came from

Also if you didn’t get the key from Lumiere during the festival waaaaaaay back at the start, you are locked out from getting one of the journals and the achievement/trophy

pretty sure I'll have to NG+ to get all trophies anyways. I missed the very first record at the festival as I didn't notice the mime fight. Game is still S tier and my call for GOTY right now though.

it's pretty wild how the debut game from a new studio from a non-American/Japanese country is the dominant frontrunner for GOTY rn, nothing like it in the Game Awards' history

If anything else takes GOTY I'm going to be legit miffed. Game is something special and a huge breath of fresh air. I thought i was bored of gaming, but this thing hooked me so fast I realized i was just bored of the same old garbage. I swear if Death Stranding 2 takes it we riot.

I'll be shocked if it doesn't win it's the rare case where literally everyone loves it. It's got the audience and critics on the same side and a good industry narrative to go with it.

Hehe... I attempted Simon a few times with a balanced party setup to see how insane learning his attack patterns would be, knowing I'd acquiesce to cheesing it with Maelle later like folks here have been saying. Parry chipping would involve like 40-60 min of intense perfectionism. I get the challenge and the skill test, but also eff that after like 5 attempts. Part of the fun of this game is making broken character setups too. For me it's part of what made FF7, 8, 10, Lost Odyssey so great: stack enough shenanigans with the battle system and you end up with gods. I think Sandfall was very intentional with Simon here.
