Just started act 3, hoo boy.

Looks like it's one of those deals where I can go to the final battle whenever I want? What should I do around the overworld beforehand? I'm playing my first playthrough totally blind.

ye Act 3 is hit as much optional content as you want before finishing, tho doing so will drastically overlevel you for the final story content (thotho there are some difficulty modifiers you can apply to juice it). i would say hit all the companion quests you unlock through campo convos as they are critcciiciallll to understanding and appreciating the story, then feel free to finish the critical path or do the rest of the side-content as you desire, which is also fine to do post-game (this would prevent the massive overlevelling). it is p much all worth doin at some point, some of the best fights in the game and deepens the world's lore / characterization.

tldr an optimalish progression for Act 3 is: companion quests---> MSQ ---> rest of the side content

Just make sure you take down the giant in the water as soon as you're strong enough. It's worth the hassle. Trust me.

There's whole swaths of the world map unused, I was hoping it would be DLC areas. Hopefully the new areas are not pushovers for level 100 because I don't think I would start a new playthrough lol

also what do we think the timelines are here, Renoir and Aline weren't gone for 67 years. Maybe a year of canvas time for every hour of real life time? Is this brought up anywhere?
