I mean we don’t need Walmart target or Amazon right?
They need to stop flirting and just fuck. Let's light this dumpster fire. No more +20% +30% just go full retard +1000% NO U
I'll pass on the "oh my god he raised it another 20% every morning feigning shock"
The market appears to be up this morning potentially only from Trump saying things on truth social such as "it's a good time to buy"
The market's ability to move on smoke continues to dumbfound me.
EU announcing 10-25% retaliatory tariffs on certain goods
edit: these tariffs will go into effect next Tuesday
and just like that, the market is going the wrong way again
Trump has announced he will be putting down the Tarrifs to 10% for most countries for 90 days. But China is getting even more tarrifs, up to 125%.
With this annoucement the markets are surging..lol
*TRUMP: ANNOUNCED TARIFF PAUSE BECAUSE PEOPLE GETTING AFRAID
What a panican amirite.
Would be such a shame if TrumpPanican started trending
Jesus S&P500 up 9.5% lol

I won't do anything stupid for 90 days. Putting in work. Shocker.
Whether it's true or not.
That's great lmao! Bringing back a classic meme.

There are normies out there who saw 4 days of market carnage, believed Trump's promises that they would continue, and liquidated their retirement positions this morning.

Given that I retire in 30 years, I didn't touch a damn thing
Me, been thinking about investing as getting a Georgia STABLE account so I can save for the future. This has made me wonder if I should keep it low risk (There are three stages of risk you can set it to, investing wise, 4 if you count "don't invest, regular savings account") considering how the market's been yo-yoing.
That's a fantastic program.
Don't worry about current prices. When you're investing long term you just want a simple strategy and then you don't touch it.
I have a Roth IRA and a regular IRA.
My strategy is (THIS IS NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE):
Every month I add whatever we can spare to the Roth IRA first. If I max out that monthly deposit I move to the regular IRA. Right now that's not much because I'm reinvesting my income in my consulting business.
My Roth IRA strategy is:
Buy 60% VOO (S&P 500 ETF)
Buy 20% VXUS (Stocks from literally everywhere but the US ETF)
Buy 20% BND (Bond ETF)
This is all automated and I don't make any decisions. I put money in and this just happens. I don't think about it and I don't touch it.
For my age, that's actually a fairly conservative portfolio but this is my long-term retirement stuff. My wife has a slightly more aggressive split in her 401K mostly due to lack of options.
---
My regular IRA, on the other hand, is more fun money. It's got a rollover from my old 401K along with whatever extra I can plug away each month.
That one goes:
60% VOO
10% IBIT (Bitcoin ETF, lol)
10% GLD (Physical Gold ETF)
and the other 20% is usually involved in single stock/portfolio growth stuff that I make up.
Currently that's:
Magnificent Seven without Tesla and with AMD (NOT DOIN GREAT)
Prior to that I've had good ideas and bad ideas but I usually don't put more than 5-10% of my portfolio towards anything dumb.
I bought FNMA/FMCC as soon as Trump was elected because his buddy wants them to be private. Rode that up about 500% and sold it.
I look at that one every day and have the portfolio tracking in Yahoo Finance. It's more of my active portfolio and I also keep a share of any ETF I write about in there.
Monthly deposit? Isn't ROTH was yearly limited, or do you just have the yearly cap split up into 12 for the purposes of tracking investment contributions?
