All anyone asked is what are you talking about, cause you went off on a non sequiter and cause of it no one understands what you're even talking about. Nobody even disagreed with you! But no one was even talking about that cause you can't read and are just screaming out into the void. I've never been more convinced that you're just a bot or are just using AI to write your responses

I don't think predicting future voting habits of children right now is fruitful. We're at the genesis if AI and the pre-genesis of fusion energy. Tech is going to demand (and currently spending tens of billions) fusion power. All the major roadblocks are solved at this point. It's going to happen. After that, life is going to dramatically change and I think it's too early to tell how it'll affect people and how the politics adapt. Way too many variables. My concern is that millennials become the new boomers as economic growth accelerates with virtually unlimited energy with AI as we wind down our working years, especially as the generation outpaces boomers and gen-xers in retirement savings.

Millennials are among the most liberal generations of all time, so how we use the inherited wealth, power, and economic prosperity when we lead the country will be interesting.

The message may be jank, but it's not really wrong. Hope you survive increasingly prison-like middle/high school with the don't give a shit attitude about guns, go to college for a degree, go into heavy debt, can't find a job with said degree for various bullshit reasons, get stuck in low wage hell conservatives insist is for teens if you're not getting auto-binned by AI for 100+ apps and multiple waste of time interviews, never get healthcare, can't afford your own home/rent, can't afford dating, can't afford a family if you're not an idiot redneck that just fucks anyway, watch as the fossils in power torch the environment without care for those who come after, and so on. The incel wing of internet culture has taken advantage of some of those issues, but there's additional obfuscation and perversion of those problems like the rise of women's rights, christianity falling out of power, and frankly a lot of refusal to acknowledge the pitfalls of late stage capitalism. You do have the 4chan chuds that just memed their way for Trump between a mix of willful ignorance and a fuck it all attitude.

On the flip side, more youth are identifying more and more as leftists and not converting rightward because it tends to be the political ideology that actually wants to do things about the above and more. They just get accused of not voting despite the establishment refusing to acknowledge their presence and support candidates that are on the same page. We've even got Obama saying the Dem party is too fucking old, but that frankly reeks more of damage control than any sort of epiphany and turning point despite me personally banging that drum for years and the inevitable consequence of the olds not ceding power.

If you compare the two demographics, you'll probably find the polarization corresponds with the usual city vs. rural dynamic and dismantling of the education apparatus for the advancement of conservative causes playing a big part for the chuds. Of course, even within the education system, we have the obvious corporate biases and McCarthyism regarding socialism and how it "doesn't work" despite many countries around the world employing it quite effectively and steadily surpassing the US in basically everything except some lolsports. It's also a big part of why you guys getting caught up in the lesser evil narrative means fuck all because when those collective issues remain unaddressed, it doesn't matter who is fucking you over. Much as we can chirp that elections have consequences, I'd say that begins before the voting even does because it's easier to psyop over purity tests instead of demanding responsible governance that isn't the cyclical rightward creep show that got us here. Assuming all the Epstein crap doesn't rightfully destroy our government, an eventual reckoning from the under-30 crowd (and I'd even add another 10 years) will if they remain ignored. This on top of the assumption they're all stupid, lazy, entitled, and fiscally irresponsible. No, many played the game and they've discovered it's rigged against them.

Edit: And since Tyche posted while I was working, tech advancement is a wild card, but I frankly don't trust our environment to be kind to the worker simply based on the fact increases in efficiency haven't led to less work, but instead the demand for more in the eternal pursuit of number must go up. We still have a significant chunk of the population that thinks poverty is a moral failing and a direct result of personal action. They would rather let people starve than entertain things like UBI, free housing, and simple social safety nets. "It's the best time to be alive!" after all.

Sorry but thats happened to the millennials first and we're far more progressive because of it. So again. What the fuck are you talking about.

Palantir has paid zero dollars in federal taxes for the fiscal year. They've also reported $1.5B in income.

The jobs needing workers are not jobs that hire kids. The jobs hiring kids are not jobs needing workers.

I get it was a jest, but that's what many of my high school friends thought. I grew up in a mining community. The expectation was to leave high school and make $75k+ a year. All those jobs are gone, they aren't hiring. There's fewer than 3,500 mining jobs in the state.

Some of those are coming back

    https://thehill.com/policy/energy-en...-doe-pentagon/

President Trump on Wednesday directed the Pentagon to purchase more power from coal plants in a boost to the declining fossil fuel.

“I will sign an executive order that directs the Department of War to work directly with coal plants on the new power purchasing agreements, ensuring that we have more reliable power and stronger and more resilient grid power and we’re going to be buying a lot of coal through the military now,” Trump announced in the White House’s East Room.

The order says that the military “shall seek to procure power from the United States coal generation fleet” through long-term purchase agreements.

Trump also indicated that the Energy Department would “issue funds” to keep coal plants open in West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina and Kentucky.

Minutes later, the department announced $175 million in funding for six projects across those four states.

And another one of those companies had huge corruption issues leading to the Ohio GOP house leader (and Ohio leader of the Republican party) to kill himself instead of facing trial.

Those coal plants are old and unprofitable. The money is a bail out. Those facilities need rebuilt. This is a handout to renovate plants to increase efficiency, not necessarily to add mining jobs.

What I'm saying is that Trump is further enriching his wealthy doners at the expense of taxpayers. Shocking, I know.
