Speaking of fries, my local grocery store has stopped selling "Grown in Idaho" frozen fries, which were the best frozen fries on the market. I'm not handling it well.

Couple grocers in my area carry that brand. I'll keep a look out to try it.

My grandma called me absolutely inconsolable over this stuff when it first started. She's not even remotely MAGA. Got raised in a southern Baptist church though. There's millions of people in those generations that feel the same way. Israel trumps (pun not intended) EVERYTHING else.

Gas at Costco has been jumping 5 to 10 cents per gallon every day for the past week.

Diesel is far more ridiculous. It was $2.89/gal same day last week, but $5.29 now.

I don't even think it's a "protect God's people" thing for a lot of them...because they view Christians as being the chosen of God. A lot of them view a huge war in the middle east as a sign of the end times which means Jeebus is gonna come back. They actively want to start a world war because their fantasy book says that a war occurs before heaven gets opened up.

I think a lot of Christians just view it as "Yeah we gotta help them out, so that a huge war breaks out, Jews get slaughtered and then god shows up to bail them out and rapture us all!"

They apparently forgot the whole part about the anti-christ though and decided to vote him into office

The common layman's interpretation in the US among evangelicals is that the "Armies of Christ" must defend the Kingdom of Israel until Christ returns and takes up the sword to banish the enemies of God.

After which, His chosen people will participate in the rapture, along with 10,000 Jews that represent the "pure" Israelites descended from the original tribes.

Funny enough, it's also pretty commonly taught in these churches to basically just never read Revelation and let your pastor tell you what to believe, because it's too complex for normies to interpret.
