it's both, sysco's quality isn't great on the low/mid end and is dependent heavily on which location you're stuck with and there's a whole ass choice to buy whatever ensures profit margins while still selling, nacho fries came back for a reason and it isn't because people loved them
like sure i can order the "chef inspired" junk from sysco but i'm not doing that as a taco bell franchise, at best i order the fries that don't turn to complete mush when covered in shit
bring back the fucking stuft xxl burritos you heathens
Apple is raising the price of their hardware by 20%.

A very popular statement to his base to be certain, as much as it will be memed on. Inflated housing costs where owners and landlords profit wildly and guarantee young people can never buy is basically the boomer's dream scenario.
I mean. That's the unspoken standard. Houses are not to be lived in, they're appreciating assets. And sources of passive income.
If people can buy things then they're not valuable anymore. An Americans entire worth is nested in their home. Down is bad. Everyone without that store of value, tough shit.
You just won't ever hear anyone be honest about it. It's why there will never not be a shortage of affordable housing. They don't want you to have an asset. You need to rent theirs.
Yeah, well. About that. Ain't ever going to change. We aren't going to burn it down. We aren't going to revolt. We're just going to go full apathy mode until we blow ourselves up.
In fact, half the country would fight you to stop it. The ones who have something to lose. Every single time. NIMBY cause it lowers my property value.
Wish you would shut the fuck up though.
Being mad about objective reality accomplishes nothing.
It's unhealthy to keep hoping for shit that's never going to happen. Reality bitch slaps you much harder if you keep pretending things aren't only going to get worse not better.
Public mental health advisory. Don't keep expecting a housing crash and an AI crash and a tech bubble pop and gas to go back to 2.50 and fair elections and anything else really.
We're not going to tax billionaires. We're not going to fix healthcare. We're not going to build affordable housing. Your bills aren't going to go down. All that shit is over, grow up.
I really wish everyone would just mute the dumb fuck so we can move on with our lives.

I always find this kind of funny.
If you genuinely believe nothing matters, people shouldn't care about anything, and everyone should just stop trying, why are you spending your time making post after post trying to convince strangers of that?
You're putting effort into writing arguments, responding to people, and hoping they'll change their minds. That's literally an acknowledgment that ideas and other people's actions matter to you.
If nothing matters, then your posts don't matter either. If your posts do matter, then you've already abandoned the position you're arguing for.
It's one thing to say life has no inherent meaning. Plenty of philosophers have explored that idea. It's another to constantly preach apathy while clearly caring enough to log in every day and tell everyone else they should stop caring. That's a pretty obvious contradiction.
The irony is that someone who truly didn't care wouldn't feel the need to keep reminding everyone else not to care.
Shit, i didn't think of that...
inb4 "you would all do it too and you're just projecting / in denial"
I literally live in urban developments built this year aimed at increasing housing availability and lowering cost. Brand new stainless everything, 2 walk in tubs, keyed entry, the nines. Less than I've paid just about anywhere I've lived.
But go off on how nothing good happens ever. Goofy regurgitating nihilistic doomer. I guess the other 8-900 units scheduled to go up before 28 are just a figment of a broken American dream.
Shit sucks, sure. But there's things happening outside of your bubble. Always.
