    A friend of mine said it looks like Denzel is just playing himself, and maybe that's the movie. Denzel Washington is propelled back into ancient Rome and uses his knowledge of history to overthrow the empire.

    Between Denzel's speech and mannerisms not fitting, along with the music, it looks like an ugly clash between the present and the past.

    Yeah, it would have made a better movie idea to have Denzel's modern character be warped into the past to alter history for his own benefit.

    ya lmao Scott has made more bad films than good ones for about 15 years now. can still hit occassionally but not a confidence-inspiring recent record. dynasty in decline. man is 86 can't hate just is what it is.
