So I'm mid50s on pity atm, lost the last one, is it in my best interest to try to grind more currency and keep pulling for Neuv, or is Mavuika gonna be worth saving the pity for? She seems interesting conceptually (which is a big factor for me usually) but I don't really know how her mechanics work, and from what I've seen she needs other characters from Natlan which I don't have as a new player (just hit rank 20), and I dont know if it would benefit me to get her now. So is Neuv the smarter play here?

Neuv or Arlech would probably serve you better without Xiolen and Chitlali, at least as far as power is concerned. Though Neuv if you don't get Arle's weapon, is probably the best bet.

It is. Mavuika will very likely be rerun again before we hit 6.0 since she's an archon, so you won't really need to worry about her getting Shenhe'd (not being rerun in forever). Neuv will also do better with less of an investment compared to most other DPS characters.

Not bad, I'm F2P and been wanting that weapon for a while. I looked at your chars screenshot from 2 pages back. Gaming or Noelle can make good use of it for now until you branch out later and jump on the meta (not important for you right now due to incomplete constellations (dupes) and gear/world level), the sword can be repurposed to someone else later. Stick 4 piece gladiator on noelle and this sword and it should pull some ok damage, as well as giving you minor tanking and healing capability when you shield and ult on her.

Others might advise you to use Gaming here but I personally don't like him or his gameplay so I don't know much about him so lets see.

I would probably just keep trying for Neuv right now. There are some good craftable/event/gacha 4* options for his weapon and he can slot into a lot of teams. Mavuika will also certainly rerun before the end of this patch series, so you'll have another chance at her before too long. There's also probably a conversation about how important Xilonen is to pull but that can wait until we know when she's going to rerun.

Wolf's Gravestone is a decent stat stick weapon for Diluc and Eula, and probably Mavuika. Unfortunately, most of the other Claymore users in the game scale off a stat other than Attack%, which makes it significantly less useful for those characters (Sayu, Dori, and Kaveh want EM, Noelle, Itto and Navia want DEF%). It's a decent claymore for Gaming, but Gaming himself is not someone I would invest in unless you A) really like him, which is totally valid, or B) have most of his constellations and/or Xianyun. If you have those though, he can actually do very respectable damage. It's probably also a fine weapon for Freminet but I've literally never used him so don't quote me there.

I feel you'll enjoy the game less if you rush (there's a huge load to get through). There is nothing at the end but exploration/questing, redoing X domain 10000 times for good stat artifacts, dailies/events, or 2 end game areas that reset per month/patch (I stopped doing them so I forget the exact timers), while waiting for next big patch to drop.

It's good you pulled him but definitely don't rush and just enjoy the game at your own leisure.

Also just to add, getting new characters in this game is somewhat infuriating. You'll be gated by resin boss and weekly bosses to get mats to level them up, as well as getting to the appropriate parts of the world which I think is also somewhat gated by MSQ. You have a somewhat long way before you can get to Natlan.

I am unsure if there is a way for you to get the stuff needed to use Neuv early. Half of me is thinking, what if I go to X, Y, and Z by foot as technically I think nothing really gates you from going to Natlan? The game's 3rd area, the lightning orientated one, I forget the name, has a legitimate MSQ gate due to the lore.

I agree with the above. The game is a huge marathon and not a sprint. I did the mistake of sprinting to get to world level 8 in a matter of 2 months to catch up to my gf who has been playing for almost 3 years. Her character pool and characters are ultra stacked compared to mine, my pool is very limited, but i’m def making it work. Game is fun for me still cuz of exploration, but i’m also juggling star rail and zenless for funsies and keeping both games on f2p with the exception of the battle pass and welkin moon on zenless.

I think it depends a lot on your tolerance of seeing people playing with the newest toys in the newest areas and how much you follow the various content creators. If this doesn't bother you, then by all means continue exploring at your own pace. We're a good way through Natlan now, so no real reason to rush to catch up on it. I rushed through to get ready for Fontaine, and it made things pretty confusing to go back to catch up on exploration and side quests. Heck, even the lack of QoL improvements in the old areas kinda threw off the pacing for me.

I'd say it took me about a year and change to feel like I've fully caught up (minus the stuff that's flat out unavailable to experience), with breaks for other games.

The interwebs say only Inazuma is locked behind MSQ; the rest have a teleport at their "entrance" after you finish Mondstadt chapter. I would use them to get to the areas you need to farm materials for characters and avoid any quests. I seem to recall monsters scaled higher than most starting accounts, but I can't recall the specific levels anymore; just that stuff was red outside of Mondstadt until I had progressed Adventure Level somewhat.

Perfect, then we can onboard Qalbert onto it then. Below is my TLDR:

First, Qalbert, go to your Adventurer Guide and navigate to the following:



This menu/page allows you to initiate encounters with the weekly bosses in a domain prior to them being unlocked by MSQ. The one highlighted in the screenshot is what you should initiate (with the green drops). You can do the rest too if you want but not needed. Do everything you can to down it before reset tomorrow, shouldn't be too hard.

Next, as Kachiko said, teleport to the entrance (I'm not sure how). Below is a map I stole off google, it's watermarked as someone apparently drew it. Anyway, I needed something that contained all of the overworld map. Assuming you figure how to teleport to the entrace of the region, which could be either of the 1s on the map.



Your next job is to navigate to 2, where a 40 resin boss is waiting for you, underwater, in a cave, where you'll need to kill it enough times for 46 of its material (there's a telepoint nearby)

Finally, your job to spend the rest of the resin is at point 3, where you will farm it Monday/Thursday/Sunday for the talent materials

As for the rest of the materials, it's all over the world vs these crab enemies which don't put up much of a fight, found underwater or hanging around near water above water.

Don't let the new map/area overwhelm you, once you get there organically the MSQ and stuff will lead you around

Interactive map; great for everything, but if you don't want spoilers on chests and puzzles, just deselect everything except teleports, statues, and domains. It's great for 100% an area though or knowing where your ascension materials are for characters/weapons.

Not to worry, you can still do the map thing at least and keep playing, Rank 40 won't be too hard to achieve and the points all come from any progress you make!
But remember all this is just because of Neuv haha

hit 25, about to do the Ascension quest or w/e it's called. Neuv was definitely a good call though, even at level 40 and no optimization or upgrades he's destroying shit. would it behoove me to add a 2nd water character for the 25% HP bonus? atm I just have 4 unique elements, I could swap Barbara in for Qiqi once I can level her
