any advice on which of the BP weapons to get from the lvl 30 selection? I don't have anything super fancy yet, still pulling on the weapon banner, have that Wolf's Grave claymore on Mav atm and The Widsith on Neuv. also, do I have to select it when I claim it, or does the box go in my inventory? the notification is driving me crazy but I haven't claimed in case it makes me decide right then and there.

Serpent's Spine is the best one by far I believe. Both the swords are decent 4* swords for various characters, Sacrificial Jade I think is an okay weapon for Neuv but I'd have to double check. The rest of them are pretty niche.

You have to select it when you claim it, it doesn't go in a box into your inventory like in Wuthering Waves for example.

Sacrificial Jade is good for Neuv (it's what I use). It's his 2nd best weapon (1st being signature) from my understanding.

Serpent Spine is the best of them all. Deathmatch, Solar Pearl and the swords are all good. The rest are fringe and I really wouldn't bother with them unless you wanted them for a specific character.

My PS5's drift finally pissed me off enough to get a new controller. I went with an 8bitdo pro 2
Specifically, because it has a turbo function
I'm thankful it sort of feels like a PS4 controller

With turbo in hand I blasted out like 10 natlan quests on auto pilot while watching anime. It was glorious.
While I used to mash O it felt quite tedious but now all I need to do is hold onto the button.

For the other hoyo games could you skip cutscenes lol. Since Genshin seems to be like the hate child here as the other hoyo games got plenty of QoL/love

(edit: a reminder if anyone hasn't seen my thoughts on it in the old thread, I enjoy Genshin collecting chars/gear/exploring world, but I no longer care for the lore because Paimon/silent protagonist. It was fine in in the early days but it got too repetitive and tiring)

Love my keyboard for this. I just have a toggle where it spams F every like 0.25 seconds, and also chooses dialogue choices. Unfortunately, the game has to be in focus for it.

alright, a couple more questions. with the battle pass there's a weekly limit of 10k I think, do missions for the whole BP period exist outside of that limit? like I believe in HSR even if I have hit weekly cap, if I finish one of the period missions it still rewards progress when I claim it, mostly wanting to make sure I'm not wasting any.
secondly, are there any good farming guides for like "go to these few waypoints everyday for a decent amount of useful mats"? like I go to the island where the spiral abyss is and grab white iron and iron, and then there are some crystalflies by the statue by Dawn Winery, but if there's an optimal checklist or something that would be great.

The Seasonal tab exists outside the weekly 10k point cap. The weekly and daily tabs do contribute toward the weekly 10k cap.

There are probably some Artifact XP routes and Crystal chunk routes on youtube. Unsure how up to date any of them are though, the last time I did overworld Artifact XP farming was in 1.X.

yeah that's what I assumed about the BP but wanted to double check lest I waste a big one. I don't imagine I'll be farming mats every day in perpetuity, but would like to build up enough of a nestegg that I'm not constantly hurting for supplies and having to go farm in the moment.

You'll always have to go farm in the moment; even I still do as a day 1 player. Artifact hunting alone will be a large part of it as when you don't need mats, you do that instead until you get a new character, and then it's back to some form of farming, even if books and weapon ores are in plenty. For a while, I was just rotating Natlan talent book domains, but with Chitlali, Mauvika, and Xiolen, my mats are spent and I I can do better with Mauivika's artifacts, though admittedly, not necessary at all as even and L6 talents, she was bursting for over a million in Abyss Sub floor 12, and 850K in floor 12.

In terms of farming specific materials, there are in game ways of seeing where to find stuff related to character and weapon limit breaking. You go to the character screen, select the material from the ascention tab, and select to locate it. It will show you the general locations for it circled on the map though it may often not be an optimal path. Couple that with characters with regional specialty traits (if you have these characters, sadly many of them aren't terribly f2p or newbie friendly) and then you can see where in that circled area the materials are on the mini-map HUD. There are also many guides out there for optimal paths for older materials since the map stuff was a fairly recent addition because people liked to minmax this crap for video content.

I'm still working on my roster of characters and for me the in game methods have proven fairly useful though some of the minerals in Liyue can still bite me. lol

yeah the in game stuff has been helpful for ascension materials, it's more the older general stuff, especially since I'm trying to level up the Serenitea Pot

Pot leveling is all about chopping wood from trees and picking up earlier plant materials. Until Natlan, I kept up with making one of everything, but I stopped doing the character plots for primos back in Sumeria or earlier; just too much passive work. Manually decorating is a pain but there are discords/reddit to find codes that you can upload and copy their builds, which I've used. There's a fair amount you can do in there if you dedicate learning how to do it.

Went for Citlali C2.

Took a bunch of pulls to get C1. Then C2 was the very next pull.

Went to weapon pulls. After some debate, decided to prioritize Mavuika's weapon and put that on epitomized path.

..5 pulls later, Citlali weapon.

That's probably the ideal outcome if you want both weapons.

Not gonna lie, I don't even know what Citlali's constellations do haha. I only ever looked at Mavuika's.

OH yeah, not gonna lie. Not UNHAPPY about it. Just need to scrounge up the primos to go for Mav's within the next week.

Citlali's is a boost to damage based on some stacks and her EM
Then flat EM boost to her as well as her teammates + hydro/pyro shred.

Finally got Mav weapon after multiple daily pulls. Now trying to nab c1 Mav, if i don’t get it i won’t be too salty, then it’s full save mode til Furina. Sad because i wanted Chlorinde and Arle both, but i want my priority characters first such as Furina.

Damn… i always wanted my big titty electro dps tho . Unless Raiden gets another rerun (likely will), then i’ll go for her and build her as a main dps with Furina (hopefully) and Nahida, and Kazuha or Sigewinne for Hydro resonance.

Navia is still the character i want to go all in, at least to her C4 (still at C0 sadly and no weapon, gonna put Mav’s weapon on her likely so i can give Serpent Spine to Mav).
