People really overhype how necessary Furina constellations are. IMO Wrio is also totally usable at C0, his C1 just makes him much more flexible.

Furina's constellations are basically all really good (C6 is a meme but whatever), especially C1 and C2, but she's still one of the best supports in the game at C0. Her early constellations just amplify her supporting power.

Seconding this. Don't believe anyone that says you need her constellations for her to be good. She will still do great at C0.

Speaking of C6, I gave her Neuvilette's set and did a quick test on Masanori to see how silly her damage would be.

is Furina good enough to justify (probably) losing out on a character that I just like and think looks fun? I lost my previous 50/50 and have enough to guarantee the pull but I kinda want Varesa even if that's not the 'smart' move and getting Furina now would obviously severely impact my chances

So it's easy for me to say because I have a pretty fleshed out roster at this point, but no matter how good a character it I'm not gonna pull for them if I just don't like their kit or their characterization. On the flip side, I will pull for any character whose kit I like or whose characterization I just think is cool (like Wrio on his release when everyone was skipping him). I'm also an Archon collector but the Archons are typically pretty strong so I don't often have to take that into consideration.

With that said, I don't think there's a point in these games if you aren't using characters you like, and I don't think Genshin Impact is a hard enough game to justify compromising your fun in the name of strengthening your account. Furina is a very strong support and a character whose kit I find really interesting, but if she doesn't speak to you for whatever reason, you're better off pulling for the character you actually want. I doubt Varesa is going to be bad and Iansan is shaping up to be basically Electro Bennett which on its own is going to be a big boost to anyone's account.

There's only one character on my account I pulled despite not really liking them, and that's Nahida. She's good, and she's an Archon, but I just am not down with the loli/child characters.

In addition to what Obsidian said, Furina is guaranteed to be rerun again since she's an Archon. If you like Varesa, I would say go for her since we can't say for sure when she would be rerun again. Look at how long it took Wrio to get a rerun. Furina is great, but you should 100% be pulling for who you enjoy and not meta.

Went to farm artifacts and joined in to something weird. The persons signature said to check your "Pursuit of Punishment" achievement (think that's the name).

Can anyone explain what's going on here? I know the Array doesn't lose life in this stage, but what is causing this to happen? Is it legit or a hack?

Edit 2: Watching it closer, I see 3-4 Kokomi Jellyfish, so it has to be a hack.

Iansan also didn't get nerfed and is Veresa's best buffer; probably electros best. My gut says if Veresa sells well they will re-run her but if not, she'll be seen as often as Shenhe; she's just a sort of goofy character to keep pulling out if she doesn't sell well.

Varesa looks very fun. Interesting that Iansan sounds like she's voiced again even though they haven't recast her. Whether or not I try for Vaersa will probably depend on Ifa/Skirk leaks.

Every week, I despise the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire more and more despite having the perfect team to fight him. If this is the direction they will go, it's going to be an easy drop for me no matter how much fun butt-planting DPS will be. He's designed to be a total cock blocker for any rotation and it just pisses me off to fight him.

Unsure if I want to go for her weapon. I probably will end up doing it because we all know me by now.

They say it's better than C1; probably needed to make her up to stuff compared to Nev/Mavika/Arch though not quite to their level, but I don't really have the gems to go for it atm if rolls go bad. Plush Shirk likely soon.

I ended up winning the 75/25/50/50 for her weapon without having to open up my wallet so my Genshin luck continues to bounce back after getting railed by Xilonen and then also Mavuika's weapon banner (partially my own fault). Her C1 is very mediocre for her damage but really strong for her exploration. I only got to C1 Iansan and C5 chevy so I honestly might keep gambling on her banner either either land the C1 or lose the 50/50 and set myself up for Skirk. I'm going to wait and see who they drip market first though, because if it's that Cryo chef her rumoured kit sounds like it'll be quite good for Cryo carries.
