After C2ing my Mauvika and getting weapon (I really enjoy using her) I read that Xilolen is her perfect support, so I had to pull her too. I still feel very broke from the previous haha but at least I didn't lose the 50/50

While researching quickly on her artifacts/stats, I came across a funny topic which brought some nostalgia tears to me, I'll explain:

Basically, someone asked if their 4 star artifact (capped with decent stats) can be used
The guy got torn apart from these I have to describe as elitists over that 4 star should never be used and they should use 5 star only, but it was said at the beginning the guy had no better pieces (for now) but that seemed to have got glossed over

The logical thought is, yeah sure equipping something is better than nothing, of course, right? But yeah, they flipped out over that too. Was funny.

Which brings me back a fond World of Warcraft memory back in the 2008 wrath of lich king days
Back then PvP gear had its own stat, Resilience, which is for PvP only and useless in PvE, but that occupied only 1 of the stat slots. The rest of the stats were applicable to PvE
I was doing a world/weekly boss and won a roll on what I remember was like an ilvl250 hand gear (I forget the exact details but don't worry). The boss can drop pvp and pve gear as it was unlocked by winning pvp for your faction and holding control
I was a fresh level capped char at the time so my best hand gear was like ilvl170, so I equipped it.
Someone saw it in a dungeon and just raged/flipped out at me lol; and reminded me of the situation above in genshin. NO PVP GEAR IN PVE NO PVP GEAR YOU NOOB etc. I tried to tell him my best 2nd piece is a green hand piece 80ilvls down but nope, lol. They just raged on

It's uncommon to see people like that nowadays for me. At best we poke fun or have a laugh. And back then we had our fill of fun on here via the FFXI media gimped char thread but we'd hardly rage. At best maybe salty of a gimped char with a piece of super rare gear i.e. Ridill, Dring, lol

Ah, yes...Wintergrasp; right up there for me with the original AV as far as mass WoW pvp goes and the "raid" was just loot for winning the battle for the zone.

Xilolen is ridonk strong at C2, but works before then. I'm actually swapped with C2 Xiolen and C0 Mauvika but that pretty much one-shots anything that isn't the newest weekly boss. Mauvika, Citlali, Bennet, Xiolen wrecks.

As a C2 Xilonen haver I'd argue it's probably not worth going for unless you A) really like Xilonen, or B) want to use her in a Geo comp. Her C2 effect is kinda pointless for Electro, decent for Hydro, mediocre for Pyro, and underwhelming for Cryo. So definitely don't feel pressured to go for it, she's perfectly strong at C0 for non-mono Geo setups.

i blew through my reserves getting Varesa's weapon (lost the first 5 star but amusingly got that one someone mentioned here with the movement speed bonus) but I'll be throwing anything i get at Xilonen to go with my Mav if I get lucky.

Mav C1 is what i want next then i’m going for C2 Navia minimum and get my Navia weapon.

Kinda funny tbh that in 2 games, my favorite characters (Firefly in HSR, Navia in Genshin) i don’t have their weapons, but are my strongest built characters.

Yeah I won't go for C2 Xilolen for sure. However I do like the idea of her C1 for travel purposes. I might be able to spend the last bit of my pulls to get it if I don't lose the 50/50. Will see how I feel later haha

I will say if you have any interest in Skirk you may want to save. It looks like Escoffier is going to be a very very good support for her (and any other Cryo carry really), and Skirk seems likely to be the patch following hers.

Oh crap I didn't know about these future chars coming. They both look coooool!!! But mmm, I'll stick and try for Xilolen C1 as I don't have much more in the tank lol, so rather maximise and be happy with what i got for now.

Not sure Escaflowne is better than Shenhe C0 and R2 weapon, or a replacement for Furina so I'll be skipping her; should probably finish build up Charlotte. Am saving for Skirk though, and dat JP VA.

Based on current leaks it looks like Skirk's best team will probably use both Coffee and Shenhe, as well as Furina. You should be able to make do without her though. It also sounds like Dahlia may end up being a budget version of Escort so that may also end up being an option.

It's kind of a 1A/1B situation. Citlali is by far the best Melt enabler for her but Xilonen's res shred and easy instant consumption of so many nightsoul points are perfect for regenerating Mavuika's burst.

Based on the trailer it looks like there's a lot going on in this patch narratively, so that should be fun.

A shame that the Mondstadt portion of it will be basically completely silent in English unless they've surprise recasted everyone. Venti's VA at least has said she's in the process of returning so that'll be nice for down the the line, but I think the only Mondstadt characters still currently voiced as of this patch are Razor, Eula and... Oz?

As much as I like the original voice cast I'm kinda at the point where I think Hoyo should just start recasting as necessary because right now basically all of Mondstadt, Liyue, and half of Sumeru's cast are all unvoiced. There's a good chunk of Inazuma that's silent too.

I just really don't like playing in my non-native language when I have a choice. I'd rather it be silent than hearing audio I don't understand.
