- citlali in 5.3. is a support / shielder who can restore nightsoul with burst (her own or whole party? not sure). reduces hydro and pyro resistance. seems underwhelming?
- 4* anemo polearm leaked. I think she's also in 5.3. very cute, is supposed to be a shielder but it's an 8 second shield on a 16 sixteen cooldown which seems wrong?

Since i just started the game a few months ago, what is this drip marketing i hear?

I think they might be trying not to overlap with HSR or something, because HSR drip marketed Herta today. But it also sounds like almost nobody got any kind of early access to Chasca so something odd is definitely going on with their strategy.

Edit: Drip marketing is when they put out official news on twitter about which characters (if any) are releasing in the next patch. In this case, since the 5.2 update is tonight, they would usually be drip marketing any new characters coming in 5.3. We know for sure Mavuika is coming in 5.3 because the regional Archon always releases with the finale of the Archon questline, but they've been conspicuously slow to drip market her (or Citlali who we also think is coming in 5.3).

Off bannered Diluc early on, while trying for the new 4*. Didn't get him. Guess I'm guaranteed on Mavuika. Weapon banner is also at like 58/80, but not guarantee.

Wow, the Wolflord card is ridiculously OP. The expert fight also needs a metric ton of damage to get down fast enough, though a couple of cards that beef summon decks really helps here.

Started 5 into pity and got Chasca on the 50/50 at 77. 1 O-o-Ron in 72 pulls, 1 random Mika, a few Sucrose and a bunch of Barbaras™.

Barely did anything else, but the new Bat saurion seems interesting from my brief interaction.

yeah, that sounds like a solid plan! nuvi and mavuika both look like they will be great picks, especially if you are just starting out. might be better to save for the characters you really want instead of getting caught up in the current banner

My issue rn is “do i really need nuvi?” The only viable element i’m missing now is cryo, i have two current teams at this point, first character being the main dps:

Navia/Xilonen/Mona/Bennett

Alhaitham/Nahida/Kuki Shinobu/Mona or Sigewinne

Both Sigewinne and Kazuha are currently benched but i was thinking i could build a team around Nuvi with Kazuha, because i don’t want to bench my boi, also it will take me a good while to build Nuvi and Mavuika since i’m lacking resources.

So i was thinking:

Nuvi/Nahida/Kuki/Kazuha for hyperbloom.

thats a tough call honestly. if you are missing cryo, nuvi could fill that gap and give you more team options, especially with kazuha. hyperbloom with nuvi/nahida/kuki/kazuha sounds solid, but yeah, the resource grind will be real. maybe consider how much you will actually use that team vs focusing on whats already working for you. sometimes benching a favorite just isnt worth it

Neuvilette is really good, but his best team mate by far is Furina who you also don't have, and Furina herself is great for a ton of teams. I personally would probably pull for Mavuika next patch and use anything left over on Neuvilette. Whether you get him or not I'd then probably save for a Furina rerun. I assume you also meant you're missing Hydro because you were talking about Neuv. If you actually want a Cryo carry I think your best option is to wait for a Wriotheslay rerun, but he's in Cryo Jail with Shenhe so who knows when the hell he's going to get a rerun. Knowing Mihoyo they're going to rerun him the patch before they release Capitano.

Finally got around to building and playing Chasca and she's a lot of fun. Ending up going for (and getting) her weapon since I'm done pulling until Mavuika. She's also very good at dealing with the new Abyss enemies that put up shields.

Seconding Obsidian on getting Furina if you don't have her as she's very good and versatile.

She is a blast! I have her at C1 after about 30 pulls, but that luck was offset by not getting Ororon yet. I'm tapped out now too, so let's hope I can grab him before the banner ends.

If you happen to have them both, you can basically infinitely fly with Chasca and Kinich by air stalling with his grapple. If Citlali's movement thing is an upgrade over Ororon's you might be able to with her as well. Ororon's doesn't stall for long enough so you will (slowly) lose stamina over time trying to do it with him instead of Kinich.

She looks very neat for exploration but I've just never really liked charged attack ranged characters in this game. If I want Mavuika constellations I also can't really afford to try for her in the first place. Maybe on a rerun, although that list is getting pretty long too (Arleccino, Neuv, Wrio & Shenhe constellations).

Got her up to level 80 with 6/8/7 talents. The endless* flying with Ororon is also fun.

Ororon is level 60, I think his E and Q are level 6?

you know I have both ;p that sounds fun I'll have to try it out. seems like the new area is made for her to fly through with all those massive cliffs (the area with the dragon)

yeah that infinite flying thing with chasca and kinich sounds crazy especially with how vertical the new area is. i need to try it out sounds like a fun way to explore without running out of stamina every two seconds

as for saving or pulling it really is tough to decide. mavuika looks super strong but nuvi with kazuha for hyperbloom sounds really good too. i think it depends on if you want more team options or just stick with what works for now

also that dragon is so cool easily one of the best parts of this patch. blowing up hilichurls never gets old
