So Punisher, Tombstone, Scorpion (mecha variety), Banner(but not necessarily Hulk), the person that Stanger Things girl is supposed to play, The Hand, hints of Man-Spider. I’ve heard rumors the film starts with the chaos of the Thunderbolts* finale. That’s a lot of stuff. At least we’re hopefully done with Tony Stark stuff. Cutting all that should free up quite a bit of room.

Also Boomerang and Tarantula, though afaik they haven't announced who's playing them.

Who Sadie Sink is playing is fairly obvious, though I doubt they'll officially announce until after the movie is already out

I don't know, Sadie could be the Insect Queen. Maybe it's not The Other, maybe it's the lead up to Spider-Island.

It's speculated that Boomerang and Tarantula will be in a montage of Spider-Man's career over the 4 year time skip. Also, the Hand are rumored to appear in season 3 of Daredevil establishing a crossover.

Max Gargan/Scorpion has been a lower tier villain for years in the comics.

The last time he was really relevant was when he had the Venom symbiote which was like... 16 years ago?

I'm not super well versed in all things Spiderman, but every incarnation of Scorpion I can think of is a guy in a suit. Has he been something else before? Or if it's just unhappy with potentially being a side villain yeeted away, sounds like there's going to be half a dozen or more villains so I'm sure most won't get a lot of screentime.

Yeah scorpion is like the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Spider-man Villains. Even getting Venom for a while wasn't enough to make him interesting or popular. Even his story was just discount Eddie Brock except he hates Jameson instead of Spider-man. He's about as boring as they come.

His power set is similar to Spider-Man (speed/strength/sixth-sense). I believe post Venom symbiote he got turned into a cyborg because why not

I have read a lot of the old classic comics. Scorpion first appeared during the Silver Age (?) I believe. He was portrayed as really strong. In their first fight he beat Peter badly. He almost killed him. It took Spidey a while to finally win against him if I remember right.

I don't particularly like Gargan's character but since this is Scorpions first ever appearance in one of the movies he should be like he was in the comics.
