Fox is definitely gone and I'm not sure how the Warriors can make a move. Kind of exciting to see what happens.

Unless the Mavs manage to win a ring this year this already feels like it will go down as one of the worst trades in sports history.

The Mavs biggest draw in free agency was the chance to play with Luka, and Kyrie has a player option after this season. The conspiracy theory circulating that this is intentional sabotage to eventually force the team out of Dallas feels very real.

Mav's GM has already said the exact opposite in an interview he gave. He offered the trade out of the blue to Pelinka who of course accepted. Then they spent the last two or three weeks working out the specifics without letting any of the players know

Worth remembering said GM (Nico Harrison) is the guy who fucked up the pitch meeting to Steph Curry while working at Nike, which led to Steph signing with Under Armour instead

generational incompetence. had to hit google to see when a player of Luka's calibre was traded in the history of the league. Kareem to the Lakers back in the 70s after he demanded a trade + Shaq and Barkley demanding trades as well but they were +5 years on Luka. not a single one without a disgruntled player refusing to continue on. Luka ain't ask for shit and Nico went to an old friend for an aging worse star and a single first round without a heads up to the players involved smh.

Mavs held a press conference to discuss the trade, GM said Luka gave no indication he wanted out or wouldn't sign an extension and that the Lakers were they only team he talked to.

Also Jason Kidd had no idea about the trade until the news broke

wtf could Luka have done to get exclusively shopped and traded for AD and a bag of chips. I don’t think fleece is a strong enough word to describe what just occurred

Either Nico caught wind of Luka wanting to go pro in marvel rivals or the NBA is rigged
