Yes, fuck them.
But it'll also never get better if it's always us versus them.

It's not us vs them. It's them vs the guy they voted for and I have 0 sympathy for it.
feel the same. it's extremely hard to summon compassion for someone who's wronged you.
i think it's pretty natural for many to feel like "eh, fuck em, got what they deserved, so no sympathy." i mean, we're gonna feel what we feel, and i think it's cathartic for many to tell someone to their face "you voted for this."
but i think the problem is when people start to actually do that in replacement of the actual rehabilitation/education of those folks. so it's like, yeah this shit makes us feel better, but does it actually make things better, as you point to? and to do that while at the same time feeling all the other shit you wanna just dump over their head is hard - probably hardest thing people gotta do. but if we don't, i fear what we see now is only gonna get worse.
The ultimate question is whether they process cause and effect. When you tell them "You voted for this" do they actually understand that?
This lady apparently does, but a lot of people being harmed will lap up Trump saying "The bad things happening are Biden's fault, but it would be so much worse without me"
Magneto was right
Xavier is the aspirational goal. Magneto is the realistic response.
