I'm already seeing various forms of "I don't mind paying higher to support Trump, long as we get a better America" baked in by MAGA.

I'm sure once people take an economic baseball bat to the face courtesy of Trump, you'll see some turn on him, but plenty of his hardcore base have already indicated they welcome higher prices as long as it "owns the libs".

I would like to think there's a major voting change next time around once people feel the heat, but I really just don't know.

When you start dismantling the Internal Revenue Service and start building an "External Revenue Service", then tariff the shit out of your 3 biggest importers with a list of demands that are essentially impossible to meet (with threats to tariff other countries as well), you've basically just created a flat tax system that more or less bypasses congress completely. Coupled with the huge cuts to government programs, I suspect that the extremely wealthy are about to receive some MASSIVE fucking tax breaks.

Of course, that's only the short term goal. They've already started going after the unions and OSHA so that they can turn the US labor pool into a cheap workforce.
