I mean even when it's asked about in non-trump speak but also not like "DO YOU SUPPORT COMMUNIST HEALTHCARE?!" people massively support it. People fucking hate the current healthcare system and their insurance, but it's always framed in polls and by media as "Do you want to give up your health insurance and let the government run it?" which sets of alarm bells in people's minds. Also there is always talk of "but the jobs?!" like somehow the single payer system wouldn't also need to keep all of the workforce that's currently around...only people getting the axe would be the fucking CEOs and high payed bullshitters that don't do anything anyways.

I don't think it's AOC because the socialist label will stick. I know that is the GOP playbook every single election cycle, but there's a big difference dealing with the smear campaign and leaning all the way the fuck into it and confidently thinking the left voters will off-set it.
