You guys keep talking about the justice system taking action—or that there's nothing we can do—over and over again. Frankly, given my situation, I’ll be fine. But if things truly fall apart, I have no doubt that a significant portion of the country will be on the brink of collapse. At that point, I’d wager that those with nothing left to lose—especially those in rural communities—will take matters into their own hands.

If the judiciary fails to act, and as some of you pessimistically claim, 'nothing can be done,' history suggests that the most desperate will eventually force a reckoning. I mentioned this earlier in the discussion: the people who currently idolize Trump with near-religious fervor will turn on him when they can no longer feed their families. Some argue they’ll blame the Democrats, but that narrative only holds up for so long when reality doesn’t match the rhetoric.
