I really do have a hard time believing we lost so many votes.

I really don't and it's looking like it wasn't that huge of a lose of votes as originally that bar graph was showing. Talking to a friend of mine from NY about how hard that state swung towards the right and how people need to have their needs met before thinking about others. If people are struggling to pay rent, buy groceries and get by then they don't really have any care for immigrants,trans or gay population or anything else. On top of that, if you're touting how Trump is a facist racist (Which he is) but then you want to enact his same border policies in an attempt to appear centrist or appeal to the right....then people are going to question why you're calling him a facist and racist.

yrrr Kamala is up to 71 million votes with 5-6% left reporting (rip to all the jackasses claiming 20 million fewer! 15 million fewer! on election night). it's the second highest vote total for a Democratic candidate and will end up around maybe 7-8 million fewer than Biden in 2020. not difficult to imagine in the absence of a pandemic with a democratic base that was fractured over Palestine and rocking a deeply unpopular incumbent administration.

I can absolutely confirm (as a NYC resident) that Democrats are still dominant but are becoming less popular. Adams and Hochul are both extremely unpopular, and most I've talked with politics here say the city is wildly mismanaged and that our needs are going unheard.

there is zero evidence of any widespread voter fraud or that the isolated incidents of voting machine malfunctions and bomb threats contributed to a significantly altered vote total. the only US election of modernity that was even potentially stolen was 2000's when SCOTUS stopped the Florida recount. everything else is silly season.

The proof is easy to find online right now—they’re behaving just like MAGA supporters did in 2020 at this point.

Know Hasan isn't everyone's cup of tea but it's a good interview and 45min mark is good because they talk about the Dems just failing on the message front. They did a lot with fentanyl deaths, railworker union stuff and other things but they didn't message around it. GoP messages 24/7/365 and the Dems only start chirping up 6months before an election usually. They just let the right run around them and didn't play good defense or even go on the offense and felt like they said in the video "Good policy will get us the results!"

Maybe it should become a thing that if an elected official wants to be in a position of party power, e.g a caucus leader, speaker, maj/min leader, etc. that they have to be in a contested district or state.

I'm getting really tired of old farts in stronghold areas that will NEVER lose re-election no matter what telling me to trust the system and believe in democracy.
