Sounds like a good excuse for term limits and age caps, but y'know someone here will tell us Pelosi dick swinging is actually a good thing despite the outcome~

Nah Pelosi needs to retire and move on. Her comments are not helpful right now
Nah done with Pelosi and all this old guard nonsense. Effective politician but all these people waited way too long and huffed their own farts the whole way through. This one wasn't on Kamala, but on their entire strategy on general. She came out swinging, then after no more debates suddenly decided she was going to pivot and stop giving details.
Again. There was nothing she was going to do that would have won this, in retrospect.
Exactly, even folks like Chapo and others are all in agreement that she wouldn't have won "if only she had taken our advice" because it was fucked out of the gate. I was all for her being the pick based on the circumstances but there just wasn't enough time and Biden fucked us all and the old guard lapped that shit up.
you're spare parts aren't ya bud
To preface this, I am a heavily educated liberal white guy in an exurban area who will continue to vote for the party that would deliver better outcomes for the country, which is likely to remain the Democrats for the foreseeable future.
The thing I find the most annoying about Democrats is the idea they project that absolutely everyone should be running a personal political influence campaign. Just voting for the candidate isn't enough. You also have to be giving money, annoying your neighbors with signs / discussions, projecting enthusiasm in your communications about politics, etc.
I want to be a solid D, well informed, disengaged voter. Politics is not a sport to me because the outcomes matter, but it also isn't a sport because I don't want to spend time doing fan shit for it and discussing minutiae at the water cooler.
If our system requires we each run independent influence campaigns to get a fucking sane candidate elected, then the system doesn't work.
I reached the Mayd part of grief.
Problem is if you don't engage stupid people are easily influenced. The vast majority of folks who voted Trump are only just now going "oh shit, what".
I agree with you but I highly suspect that you're overstating how many of these Democrats you're referencing actually exist in the real world. Maybe you know more than me, idk. I personally don't know any friends or colleagues or acquaintances who project this kind of thing onto me.
It is, of course, absolutely everywhere on r/politics, twitter, etc. But that's not organic. That's heavily influenced and astroturfed by political staffers. It's blatantly obvious when you look at how abruptly and overwhelmingly the viewpoints change on there at the drop of a hat.
all my MAGAs are loving life right now. their colors won, RFK is gonna go The Shining on the FDA, King Trump and Lord Musk will save us all
stupid people already have all the answers
I live outside DC, so maybe 50% of yards have multiple signs in them.
Very much a "we believe love is love, black lives matter, etc. etc." creed sign neighborhood a few years back.
It will be all celebration until 2025 kicks off. We have fucked around, finding out hasn't started yet.
Was talking to DC friend last night about all of this and the Dems messaging and what not, how I consider myself fairly well informed on a good chunk of stuff but obviously not everything. My YT feed is a variety of CNN stuff, Majority Report, Hasan and then because YT sprinkled in some wacky shit trying to red pill me. I never knew about the negotiations that Biden did with rail workers after the fact, I only heard about them shutting down the strikes and that was it, there's a lot of other stuff too that I never really heard much of besides a whisper maybe given my media diet.
If Trump farts and it smells semi pleasant you have at least 3 elected officials and 5 other people on CNN/MSNBC and Fox all talking about it for a week
Case and point - BG has 16 (and counting) Trump threads and 1.5 Biden threads. We're just as bad as MSM
It seems he was suggesting that we, as members of BG, also tend to avoid discussing the successes the left achieves while in power. For instance, one of our members was unaware that Biden quietly secured a favorable deal for the railroad unions.
That said, you're absolutely right—whenever I suggest something outside of the prevailing left-leaning viewpoints, I often receive a fair amount of pushback and am sometimes called out as misinformed.
I think you could argue Trump constantly has absurd shit going on and Biden's mostly just boring by comparison.
