looks like Harris is set to give her concession speech shortly here.
I'm not going to say dems are not without blame, but I put just as much blame on the media sane washing Trumps literal mental decline in real time video, while harping on Biden having a stutter, and Kamala quite literally not turning water to wine for all of us.
Most of the shit you say she should have said is shit that she clearly laid out. 95%+ of democratic policies are interchangable between candidates, but we hold candidacy to a much higher importance than we hold policy.
Republicans could give a fuck less about candidate strength. It's policy that matters. Or the illusion of policy.
I'm not convinced that 12 million democratic voters who sat at home would have gotten up if they had just one or two more reminders of his mental instability when they watched multiple news cycles on him being a fascist and did nothing.
Apparently it was because Kamala didn't get near the votes Biden did and Trump fucking won lol. What was the issue? People being sexist and racist? Yeah everyone knew that coming in and going out, they did nothing to combat that. The economy was an issue despite people hating the term "vibecession" it seems that was a huge thing too.
It's literally the opposite lol.but we hold candidacy to a much higher importance than we hold policy.
The economy wasn't an issue. The perception of the economy was the issue. And messaging "you're too dumb to understand post-covid inflation economics and "soft-landing" out of a recession" to people that post memes that say "remember when interest rates were 2.75% and milk was $1?" isnt very easy.
How so? Assuming "yourself" is America. When she says she can't think of anything she's so different than Biden, that should have been "inflation wasn't great, I'd do something about that". Even if it's just words, it's easy to say and lie about versus whatever it is she did. We can't help how uninformed Americans are, best we can do is just lie to them better. She should have done a better job of lying.

I can't remember what I saw about this, but there was some video on it. Maybe it was Last Week Tonight, but not really sure. Anyways, essentially, it's not that there are actual "attacks" on white males. However, any step towards racial/gender equality by default would reduce the opportunities available to the current majority group, which is perceived as an attack by white males. This isn't unilateral by any means, but there's a large enough segment that has that viewpoint and would do anything to keep their advantage that Trump became their guy, since the alternative would potentially lead to that loss of opportunity. It's like you phrased it, loss of privilege to (some of) those with it feels like oppression.
But yeah, Democrats just gonna have to embrace fake news.
Put out fake studies. Invent 50 new pregnancy deaths related to abortion laws. Shit, make a promise to give a $5000 yearly tax credit to households making under 75k a year. Who cares if you can actually do it.
You didn't touch on the 'culturally lost' part, so I will.
Here's an example of a conversation between somebody online (perhaps terminally so) and a low information white guy:
White dude: <insert tone deaf/stupid/silly opinion here>
Reply: Of course you'd think that, you're a straight white guy
White dude: ??????? what? why does that matter at all? I don't understand
Now there's a crossroads at this point.
The more common reply is to denigrate that person, demand he do his own research, or simply dismiss him as a troll and claim he's not being genuine. But in the case of my point here, he is. Congratulations, you might have just thrown somebody that could have been educated down an abyss of radicalization.
The less common, but way more helpful reply, is to educate that person compassionately on the subject. A lot of people just lump everybody in one bigoted monolith. In reality, a lot of people are responsive to conversation and education if approached correctly.
Now - is the person in question here, if they are radicalized, at fault for their actions afterwards? Absolutely yes.
But would the effort to be a little more forthcoming and reasonable with them potentially be a net positive for both of you? Also, absolutely yes.
All the ads I’ve seen on her plan for inflation say, “She has a plan for that”—then just direct you to her website to read it. And this is exactly where she loses ground to Trump. Sure, he’s lying and has no idea how to actually fix it, but he can throw out a quick, memorable line, and people remember it.
Having a full, detailed plan online is great for the few who actually care enough to look it up. But the reality is, 95% of people aren’t going to visit a website to read a full plan. You need those buzzword "fixes" to hook people. And sadly, a real plan doesn’t fit into sound bites. So we’re back to the sad truth: just fucking lie to them, and they’ll eat it up.
Y'all people seem to forget when I said exactly what someone else just did - people didn't perceive the economy to be better even if numbers said otherwise.
Kamala ran a great campaign in the time she had. Supporters failed her. Shit I saw:
"STOP CALLING HER KAMALA IT'S VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS"
"I REFUSE TO SUPPORT GENOCIDE"
"RAWR THEY DIDN'T FORGIVE MY STUDENT LOANS YET"
"RAWR YEA IF SHE HAD 4 YEARS WHY DIDN'T SHE DO [X]"
The generation that voted for her fell prey to social media because they have zero fucking awareness by design. They worship morons like Musk Rogan and RFK because they lack critical thinking, and when it comes to the other side that morally sits out they masturbate with a jar of smug because the candidate doesn't pass the purity test.
Kamala was never going to win their vote.
