Literally Trump told the American people all the shit he would do and they said "Thank you sir, let's have some more." He won the popular vote. People want what he is selling.

But things like deporting everyone who is illegal (i.e. which is coded very heavily to basically be anyone who is not a real American, i.e. white) are exactly what people voted for, or will at least tolerate, for those quick fixes.

Obama won 70 million in 2008, then 66, 66 Hilldog, 81 Biden, and Kamala is already at 68 with 88% reporting meaning she'll prolly wind up at 73-74 or so. fairly normal variation with Covid hitting an unusually high-turn out as everyone was home and there was nothing to do and 3000 people were dying a day. no one was terribly surprised when '08 Obama hit 11 million more than Kerry's '04 and that was without a pandemic.
