Looking at the voting jury list for the American side of things on their site, I'm not surprised Wukong wasn't picked. Does make me hope AstroBot hits PC at some point so I can check both games out while I forever wait on a competent GPU to come out that can run both on higher settings.

The vote weighting is what I have a problem with. 90% Panel and 10% user votes. I can understand weighing in favor of a panel (50-60 max), but only 10% for all users is just ridiculous. It means that the user vote doesn't count at all and is purely performative.

The one category whose nominees were chosen exclusively through fan voting was 4 Chinese games, three of which were Gacha games, and Elden Ring.

Fan voting just gets ruined by botting every single time.
