Funny thing is, despite what Welt says, I think Caleb can be a more than serviceable QB if he doesn't have an O-Line that is pure trash.

Not last night (cause that line they put out there was terrible) but for most of the season their o line has been pretty middle of the pack.

Caleb just holds onto the ball too long and is prone to immediately scrambling out of the pocket the moment he feels pressure

Their line has been ranked basically top 13-15 the entire season. Stop the excuses and use your eyes.

Many teams would kill for that Oline ranking. He just sucks.

exactly this, but his issue is also fixable. it's a very normal college to nfl problem. at least he has the arm talent and athleticism to give the team hope

bo nix played way better than caleb this year but going forward i'd still rather have caleb long term... bo's talent level is eventually going to make him regress. he just reads defenses better and has better pocket awareness atm because he played college ball for like 2 decades. with time the other more talented qbs will get caught up with that stuff
