So hypothetical ethical dilemma if he was brain dead would it be right or wrong to keep him on life support to farm his blood as long as possible or is that a bridge too far

Wrong. There's a great story about a similar situation about Henrietta Lacks where they have perpetually kept her cancer cells alive to study treatments. The family and her got nothing and after her death they still used her cells.

    Greater good and all.

Now if his family consented sure, but they wouldn't be able to continue harvesting his blood as eventually his marrow would stop responding once his brain no longer sends or receives signals to/from his liver and kidneys.

Carl Dean, 82. Best known for being Dolly Parton’s husband for the last 60 years. I just hope Dolly isn’t far behind, old time couples usually like that usually pass within a year of each other

gene hackman’s wife died from hantavirus. he died of heart disease a week later

running theory (note: heavy on the word theory) is she died, he had alzheimers/dementia and didn’t know how to properly process what was going on, and he died from not taking his meds

Jesus, there's only 2-3 Hantavirus cases per year in New Mexico.

HHV is exceedingly rare. That sucks. I wonder how much care she was giving him that her death didn't even register for him and he wasn't able to do anything, let alone call 911.
