SCOTUS threw out the Virginia challenge to their maps getting overturned. Not unexpected. Different situation than other states. And VA was going to move forward with the old maps regardless.

But.

If I'm Hakeem Jeffries, I'm getting in front of every screen and absolutely vilifying the conservative court members. I'd drop the word corrupt so many fucking times, you wouldn't be able to get a question in without hearing it. Every single Dem house member should be on television talking about how SCOTUS will literally go against voters to depress Democrats while allowing conservative states to steamroll new maps without a vote.

You have to start building the stage for Supreme Court reform dominating the 2028 ballot. This is an easy sell when no one outside of people who intimately follow poiitics understands the specifics of why SCOTUS tossed the case and they sure were not going to explain it.

Dems are too big of pussies to burn the image of SCOTUS and they're going to suffer until they do. They have to sell it as no longer being its own branch, but simply an extension of a conservative executive branch.

The entire judicial branch is eroding under this administration and reforming it should start at the top. If it isn't 1a in the DNC 2028 platform, the party needs launched into the sun.
