The car is an energized base that knows I backup the talk and can be counted on to do action, and not just talk like the establishment does.

We're up against clowns that will weaponize anything and everything they can within their power, and sometimes things that aren't in their power, but when people ask the Kentucky guv'nor to at least use the power defined in the states constitution suddenly it's a bridge too far and pointless. inaction is still action, and the base has made clear they reward people of action and will hold against you weakness disguised as contemplative governance.

And yeah, what would McConnell or Trump do in this situation? Without a doubt every single one of us knows they'd weaponize it against us and succeed at it. Call a special election and use it as a fundraising, or address gathering, venture for November. Just fucking SOMETHING other than doing nothing as the other party lies in order to better wield power.

Even, literally, said no votes would be happening especially with a Kentucky Democrat Senator. Which is also no different than no votes from the dead senator, but at least you engaged the base and pushed back on attempts to hide powerful officials deaths because it came at a politically inconvenient time.

After this, and the response to it, I am 100% convinced they could hide a Trump death for at least a month. Likely longer.

I know it's a Kentucky problem with only a Kentucky solution being possible, but it's also a Democrat image problem and if the solution is looked at only from a "Kentucky" point of view you're gonna miss the forest behind the trees. Malicious compliance 100%. Nothing illegal, no cheating, just whatever is spelled out specifically in yalls constitution for this situation. I know the Congress tried to go around that with some law, but ignore that and do what is supposed to happen. Phrase it like that, defend the action, actually take an action, and make sure people understand in laymen what it is Republicans have been doing regarding this situation. It's bullshit, and if Dems were doing it even the politically disengaged Republicans would be commenting and memeing about it. It's not bluster or grandstanding, it's governance.

And who knows, maybe the person Republicans pick 2 months early will have some baggage come out that will tank their numbers and make extra D pickups possible. If not in the Senate seat itself then maybe down ballot. Crazier things have happened
