any confirmed titles that everyone is excited for on switch 2?
Donkey Kong, FF Remakes, System Shock.
Good reason to give FF Remakes another playthrough.
Metroid Prime 4, but I'm also pretty sure the person who asked is a bot.
According to iFixit, Pro 2 controller is also prone to driftin, punishingly difficult to repair and do a battery replacement.
Not so pro I guess. Its such a waste to trash a device as it runs out of battery eventually.
Tbh, the original pro controller has a crazy good batter life so if it's similar in that respect I don't think it's something most people would have to worry about
For those who played Bananza, is the sonar strong enough to detect everything? bonus round chests etc or do I still need to smash everything to discover stuff?
Im not talking about Sonar range as I know levelling it increase the range
Haven't gotten that far yet.
Apparently Elden Ring is so poorly optimized, especially in outdoor areas that FROM didn’t even allow gameplay footages to be recorded.
On the other hand, FFVII Remake Intergrade runs at a perfectly smooth 30fps, looks and plays better than PS4.
Intergrade wasn't on PS4 ;p
That PS4 release was a mess anyways with whoever programmed it to not stream assets properly. Switch 2 at least has the advantage to brute-force that with high speed read access (no 5400RPM drive to cater to) and 4gb more RAM.
Those two points is why I'd expect most last-gen ports to Switch 2 to run smoother in most cases since it should allow for less hitching in general. At least Nintendo users shouldn't have to deal with low-rez skyboxes if it's the actual Intergrade version.
I don't know what the excuse is with Elden Ring though. I'd have to wager it's a case of an early build doing something that's hammering the hardware in a specific manner it hates.
From Software games all run like shit (Armored Core VI being the exception)
It's not a new thing for them to perform like ass. Going back to Demons Souls on the PS3 I don't think a single of one their games has ever been able to hold a stable frame rate on console and almost always have performance and stuttering issues on PC.
Dark Souls Remastered Scholar of the First Sin Sekiro and DS3 all ran peachy keen on PC. Elden Ring and Nightreign are fine, Armored Core VI good. at this point it's more hanging onto bad performances from a decade ago or just youtubing sensationalist titling
their real modern crime is hating ultrawide
All I remember hearing about Elden Ring on PC at launch was it being stutter-central. One of these days I'll get around to playing it.
I feel like half the time this stuff comes from people with bad PCs![]()
Elden Ring was absolutely not fine on launch, people were just able to brute force through it on PC and accepted the stuttering because it's From Software and all their games stutter.
The best way to play it on PS5 was by running the PS4 version because it actually had a stable frame rate when played on the stronger hardware
