2025 NFL Divisional Playoffs: Oh Christ it’s This Asshole Again

it is time to suffer through another game where mahomes skirts the sideline daring a defender to hit him while the refs look for any reason to throw flags

i was 2-3-1 ATS last week because i am a dumb football fan. anywho, we rebound this week by going chalk

    AFC:
    chiefs -8.5
    ravens -1.5

the texans are still not that good. it took a pretty shit effort by the chargers for them to win, and the chargers kept it interesting until late in the second half. playing in KC will be a lot different than being at home. refball. in the game of the week, the ravens are favored on the road for a reason: they’re a better overall team/roster, and while josh allen heroball can keep the game close, in the end the ravens will pull it out, unless of course this is the “justin tucker is washed” game

    NFC:
    eagles -6.5
    lions -9.5

HOMER ALERT ROUND TWO: it worked last week so we’re staying with it. the eagles are the better team. they are at home against an indoor/turf team; the rams are on one day short rest, along with having to log extra travel with the game being moved last week. and again, all that with the eagles being the better team, and beat the rams comfortably earlier this season in LA. go birds. i am honestly not loving the lions line being this high, but we are rolling with the favorites. this road game will be much more difficult for washington, against a top flight offense with their poor defense. let’s not overthink it, lions have been the best nfc team all year, if not the best team in football.

    have at you

Sounds like there's a chance Rams/Iggles will be a snow game

On the other side, Lions have Montgomery back

Real talk what y'all want Pat to do? Run head first into defenders?

Hold the ball for 7 seconds and eat the sack?

Choke under pressure when the run game isn't working anymore and throw a hospital ball?

Run right up the middle and fumble?

Pretend to take a knee or run the fumblerooski?

    Predictions this weekend:

Bills/Ravens: The Ravens again look fierce, and are favorites to win. I still pick the Bills. I think Allen has had enough losing divisional games and wants to get to the AFC game again. I think the Bills may just eek it out here. Best game this weekend.

Commies/Detroit: Low chance of upset here, but it would be interesting to see both teams with a nothing to lose mentality giving their all. I ultimately think Detroit still has gas in the tank and if there's an upset this week I think its best chance is here. I'm still going with Detroit.

Eagles/Rams: Another interesting setup. This all depends on the same factors as the Bills. Can they stop the run? If so, the Rams could come out on top and Nacua looks great. I still think the Eagles will win.

Chiefs/Texans: CJ has not looked great and it seems like their offense has struggled. I do feel this will come down to whose defense screws up the most and whether there are any offensive mistakes early in the game or in a critical moment. Ultimately we're going for a 3peat and while Houston had a great defense Jaylen Watson is supposed to play. I think we win here and see the Bills again in the AFC game.

    AFC: Chiefs/Bills
    NFC: Lions/Eagles

    Eagles - Lol
Lions - No shot Montgomery should actually be playing. Buddy went from doctor-to-doctor until one told him what he wanted to hear.
    Chiefs - Texans aren't good.
    Ravens - Henry owns Buffalo.

    Fake OoB run on niners.

    Fake slide on the lions.

And these are just 2 examples off the top of my head. I’ll have zero sympathy the day Mahomes gets blasted into West Bubblefuck.

you’re right about the coaches, but at the same time, mcvay is 0-2 against the eagles since sirianni got here

this is also the best iteration of those eagles teams (they didn’t play in 22 during the super bowl run), hard to say the rams are trending upward

now if we find out our georgia defense is allergic to snow, there could be problems

at the same time, the one area you could argue the rams may be better is their passing game, which also might lose efficiency due to the weather

(hurts had better stats than stafford btw in far fewer passing attempts. stafford only had two more passing tds, but again, far fewer attempts for hurts. and hurts basically missed three games)

the rams passing offense is probably more “consistent” and they get more use of their top two wrs than the eagles

Rams - McVay, best coach in NFL, taking a ragtag group of misfits to the NFC championship game and getting Siriani fired for flaming out after a remarkable, yet quiet, season is too good a story.

Lions - Too much will to be stopped at this point.

Chiefs - #1 in the conference, probably wouldn't be favored against half either of the other two teams. Weird season for them.

Ravens - They have the best weapon in the NFL to stop/slow down Buffalo's ONLY weapon, a rushing attack that can eat clock. They also do a better job than most when facing scrambling QBs.

How many times have the Chiefs actually covered this season? Give me Houston at +8.5.

Likewise, Commies have made some amazing 4th quarter asspulls so give me them at +9.5.

    Eagles cover at -6.5.

Derrick Henry is going to absolutely truck motherfuckas in that weather. Ravens at -1.5.
