Egg prices, yo.
Egg prices.
I actually got my entire tax return instead of it getting my intercepted by department of education for outstanding federal student loans. Gonna go deposit that first thing tomorrow morning before Elon realizes his mistake.
Trump: "lol look the hurricane is going here now"
NOAA: "Actually that's not correct, you can't sharpie that because it doesn't fit the model."
Trump: "actually I'm president so by law all weather forecasts through the NOAA must now include my sharpie forecast."
NOAA: "Long live the sharpie."

So WMD level Saturday Night Massacre.
One was enough to end Nixon, so lets see how this goes.
Without looking at any stats and going off of what I know/seen, I’d say 11-13 is average and after that it’s late.
Both my daughter and I started in 6th grade. We both had friends who had theirs already, and we both had friends who hadn’t yet.
Seems to track from what I know in my middle school, too ( I don’t have data, that’s weird. Just these girls will tell you everything whether I want to know or not).
I have been arguing nonstop on Reddit about this. I am amazed with the amount of teachers who don’t understand DEI doesn’t only mean affirmative action. And don’t get things like Black History month, ADA policies, SPED laws, and more fall under DEI.
I hate how CA hasn’t addressed these attacks yet ( he signed it today, but has been threatening it for weeks). Tomorrow I am having yet another parent meeting over a teacher’s pride flag. I know this is going to come up. In the past I just cited CA law about it, but I’m going to have to get guidance on how the hire ups want me to say it going forward.
This is gonna be the issue for a long time. Trying to be politically correct in how teachers go about this when all they should be doing is saying the quality of our education isn't going to be affected by a rainbow flag.
But teachers and admin are too afraid to stand their ground or have that conversation.

Because they don't think colored people earn anything or can compete outside of sports.
From what I've seen, most of the government is hitting everything with super broad strokes and just suspending/pausing anything that could remotely be perceived as DEI adjacent until they get actual clear instruction on what the hell the executive branch actually wants.
DHS has had occasional Civil Rights Awareness training as a required component for decades and that's been suspended while they "review policy and training material"
gah. this thread sucks and i can’t handle it
how is this real life
