I don't think he'll do shit to lower prices TBH. Unless he somehow actually is able to amend the constitution, which hypothetical arguments aside, he can't run for office again so he has no reason to give a shit about the idiots who voted for him past this point. He doesn't need them to like or believe him anymore, so he ain't going to try to lower prices and risk pissing off the billionaires and corpos filling his pockets right now.

MAGA is eating up Elon saying that all US Americans will get a $5k check from DOGE thanks to all of the cuts they've made. They hate being told that it would be considered socialism, though. But a campaign promise is a campaign promise.

Yeah everyone has to follow Trumps word as it is now law, that means the prices of goods in the country are going to be made to his decree. No more will you pay $12 for eggs, make them shits $2 like they should have been.

Bluesky is essentially the "following" setting on twitter, there is no "for you (actually what we want to push at you)" setting.
That is a feature, don't expect to be spoonfed content from an algorithm.

Most experts beleive the US will have a massive shortage of eggs by June, due to the Bird Flu epidemic. So Trump is using US tax dollars to buy 15,000 tons of eggs (equivalent to 700 containers) from Turkey.

Shipments to the U.S. from Turkey will begin this month, and will continue until July.

I need to look into the logistics of shipping eggs from that far away. The costs of shipping—likely with refrigeration—along with spoilage and losses from breakage, seem like they would add up significantly before they even arrived. I'll go without eating eggs entirely (or baking) before I start using eggs from Turkey. There is no way at all I am eating an egg that was shipped overseas. The amount of potential health problems with that is endless.

I paid $5.99 for cage free eggs in a NY Shoprite. Which isn't too terrible IMO (considering all things) I bought two. They're best by until 4/20/25.

President Donald Trump’s administration on Wednesday ordered a halt to congestion pricing tolls in New York City, which thin traffic and fund mass transit by making people pay to drive into Manhattan’s core.

Launched on Jan. 5, the city’s system uses license plate readers to impose a $9 toll on most vehicles entering Manhattan neighborhoods south of Central Park. In its early days, transit officials said the toll has brought modest but measurable traffic reductions.

The federal government has rescinded its approval of the program, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy announced Wednesday, calling the toll’s financial burden “a slap in the face to working class Americans and small business owners.”

The Federal Highway Administration will work with the state on an “orderly termination of the tolls,” according to the statement.

Trump takes a victory lap
