I'm not saying I don't like Miyazaki's work. He's a legend for a reason. I'm saying I don't like the choice from the get. I prefer classic-style soulsborne games where I have a massive, sprawling single player adventure. That's all. Hardly a hater.
I'm not entirely familiar with PvPvE outside of an extraction shooter context. Does it generally just mean it's a competitive multiplayer game, that happens to have CPU-controlled enemy spawns on the side to factor in the 'vE' part?
wouldn't the other Souls games be considered PVPVE? cause the whole mechanic of getting invaded in your game is the PVP portion of an otherwise PVE game?
The PVP was an optional component in the Souls games and/or conditional based on your ingame status. When I read PvPvE my mind currently assumes the PvP portion is the main focus.
I think any game with any sort of PvP elements combined with PvE elements are classified as PvPvE since it’s easier to write then PvEvPvP, from what I can find all the Dark Souls games have been referred to as PvPvE for a long time.
