But the fact that such gerrymandering is 'incompatible with democratic principles' does not mean that the solution lies with the federal judiciary."

Yeah, this ruling is unfair and completely incompatible with everything this country stands for in its democratic principles, but fuck that. And let me sign my name to this.

I want to believe people will start caring again if it happened, but I thought that would happen when abortion rights were taken away. Sadly, the urgency only lasted for one election cycle before people stopped paying attention. Too many “Reddit warriors” claim to care about the issues, yet when it comes to showing up for one day every two years, they decide it is not worth their time. If gay marriage is overturned, we might see another temporary blue wave, but it will likely fade once people realize it does not affect them directly.
