When it comes to this whole "tough on crime" National Guard initiative, if there's to even be an attempt to believe this nonsense is being done in earnest, there would already be genuine talks of sending the National Guard to red states. It's quite the hypocrisy when Republican states with some of the highest crime rates are sending their troops to Washington, D.C.

We've been getting the same regurgitated spiel from this administration and its fanatical supporters about New York, LA, and Chicago. Unsurprisingly locations which have voted against Trump. These areas don't even rank in the top ten in crime, that recognition would go to mostly Republican governed states based on the latest aggregated FBI data. Red areas are included of course, because MAGA has a penchant for only citing blue cities here.

Trump loves to repeat his rhetoric of being the steadfast supporter of police and "law and order", when in actuality he's already implemented cuts to programs he feels just doesn't align with this administration's focus.


This has actually drawn criticism from members of the law enforcement community who rely on federal grants for equipment and staffing. This admin has also proposed significant budget cuts to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for fiscal year '26, which would reduce the agency's funding by nearly 30%. These cuts, if enacted by Congress, would lead to a substantial reduction in the ATF's workforce and regulatory measures.

In May, the DOJ terminated 373 federal grants, an estimation of approximately $500 million in initial value, under the justification of eliminating "waste and inefficiency". These grants had been directed toward an array of programs for local jurisdictions, including; policing and prosecution programs, victim services, substance use and mental health treatment, juvenile justice & child protection, and violence intervention programs.


Trump has quite literally defunded the police. Something he loves to accuse his opposition of.

His (very poorly communicated) point is that electricity doesn't directly replace liquid fuels like gasoline, diesel or jet fuel, or coal in a steel smelter or natural gas heating your water or home.

With the right equipment electricity can replace many of those things, but we mostly don't currently have said equipment in place.

And of course a ton of coal and natural gas are burned...to create electricity...
