Well, because they're bending the knee to Trump. KBJ has had some blistering opinions on the court granting Trump relief after relief after relief in the emergency docket. Prior to Trump's first presidency, the shadow docket was rarely used (Bush and Obama used it about once every other YEAR). Trump has had over 30 cases THIS TERM and was granted relief in 11. Biden wasn't granted this type of emergency relief and the justices cited many of the same reasons they GRANTED Trump relief for denying Biden. There's an irreparable harm standard for emergency relief cases that seems to only apply to those not named Trump. Trump just rams through emergency applications for whatever he doesn't like and SCOTUS just hears it.

KBJ is swinging fucking haymakers at her conservative colleagues and they're not even attempting to offer a retort because there is no justification for what they're doing. Just crickets. Because they don't care. Because you reading this now is probably the first time you've heard this. Because the media is dogshit.

One thing I really wish protesters would stop doing is flying the flag of another country, like I saw in another video where someone made the same point. It plays right into the hands of the right-wing narrative and reinforces an "us vs. them" mentality. I get that many people are ashamed of the direction this country is heading, but broadcasting protests where the Mexican flag is prominently displayed only fuels division.

Instead, fly the American flag and make the media show tear gas and rubber bullets hitting people who are holding it. Make them show it falling to the ground after someone gets shot or trampled by a horse. That image has power. The left has always struggled with protest optics. If we want to shift the narrative, we need to own that flag and make sure the world sees what’s really happening under it.
