There's no actual grounds on impeaching him precisely because Congress gave that ground though.

So still do it, vote yes on it even knowing it won't pass. There's 0 grounds for 99% of the shit the GoP bitches about or goes off the deep end on but their base wants it and they just love tossing slop to their base. Just vote yes on it to show your base to care...I mean fuck we have the majority of the country against going to war with Iran, Trump attacks Iran and not a single high ranking Democrat comes out yelling about it or citing how most of America is against this shit and how we're spending billions to bomb yet another middle eastern country instead of helping our own poor here in the US.

The MTG and Boberts of the GOP aren't the driving force, they just hog the spotlight.

The MAGA hogs definitely seem to be doing very well for themselves. It drives media attention and clicks and that's all people care about now, but you're right, the house hasn't come out clearly against Jewish space lasers so they're not having much of an impact at all.

All people want to see are Dems actually fighting for literally anything and speaking out. They're being little bitches and just squabbling about the DNC and not wanting to pry their old wrinkly hands from the wheel of 'power' while doing nothing.

But i'm sure we'll see them frowning in front of a photo of someone almost being beaten to death by a cop, or dodging questions on an ongoing genocide that their guy was totally fine with.

Dems are in a tough spot because they both want to be the party of norms (that literally is not what impeachment is for so it makes sense to vote it down) and the party of the opposition dealing with an existential threat (yeah whatever just try stuff).

They need to pick one and it probably needs to not be norms if they want to win.

Dems need to constantly remind people of the ongoing shitstorm like cutting social services, benefits, and big tax breaks for non-everyday Americans. A whole lot more people will be feeling the fallout of these decisions in the near future. The Republicans got their trifecta-- good, then the blame rightfully lays entirely on them.

Also don't let up on reminding people that Trump was voted in for things like lowering the cost of groceries and utilities, and addressing a marred healthcare system and housing market. He was voting in on the mandate of alleviating the cost of living and he hasn't done a meaningful fucking thing, nor does he have any real plans on doing so.

Pretty much, the large majority on both sides of the spectrum don't want "norm" because it hasn't been helping anyone besides the wealthy for decades

Performative politics goes badly for the Dems because delivering means getting stuff done which is much harder for Dems trying to make progress. Getting stuff done for Republicans just means being cruel.

Yes, because showing ZERO effort AND getting nothing done is much better then at least showing your base you want to get shit done. Performative politics implies it's not genuine, it is what most of the caucus did during BLM and showing up in their outfits pretending to give a shit about anything going on...and then only talking about the riots and how bad of a message that was etc etc. Al Green constantly putting out efforts to impeach Trump and constantly doing shit against Trump isn't performative in my eyes because it's going against what all of the GoP and half of the Dems want and he doesn't give a fuck. I don't look at him and think it's fake bullshit and pandering, could be wrong because politicians gonna politics but I think he's genuine.

Id love to see polls that back this up lol.
    Fresh from NYT polling
