I did read the NYT article about his nomination and the ratio of number of paragraphs they spent talking about how important it was that the head of the BLS was qualified and nonpartisan to number of paragraphs they spent talking about how EJ Antoni was qualified and nonpartisan was undefined because they literally never addressed whether he was a good pick.
