I've suspected 2 of my 3 sisters at times, but the first I give some very slight leeway to because she had the same kind of brain cancer that killed Andre the Giant. So, while I think it has fucked with her head in part, I don't tolerate her bullshit, either. Back in July we had a dumpster brought in to clean out the basement alongside calling in my siblings to help since there was A LOT of shit given my dad's hoarding tendencies. Not only did she refuse to come down to the basement to help, she wanted to poach what electronics she could upstairs basically feeling entitled to them. For a woman who told my mom she would come down to help with the house now and then, 9 months later that was the first time she'd been here. Told her to fuck off and go home. We ran out of dumpster space and still have like 2/5ths of the basement to go.

The other sister is probably more textbook, though. I'm only useful to her when she wants something, usually money or to weasel out of something. Latest incident involved her promising to take my mom to an appointment. Told my mom the night before she was gonna flake. Sure enough, 2 hours before she was supposed to do it, she starts begging me on facebook to do it. I made it clear she had to get my mom's okay and I guess she ultimately didn't. Contrast this with the only time I ever asked for a favor in my adult life by having her pick me up from a train station in Pittsburgh coming back from a week long trip. She decided to party the night before and got wasted enough to no show and no one could get in touch with her. So at that time, my mom had to drive 2 hours to get me, which basically translated to me sitting in the station an extra 3 hours because I foolishly thought maybe she was just a little late. Needless to say, lesson learned. Of course, any time she wants something from me and I have the audacity to refuse, it's always, "You don't have anything to do!" or some exaggerated pity party about how her world is ending and everyone is so, so, so mean to her. If I do loan her money, however, I always make her pay 2x back when she inevitably fails to do so at the time she promises to. It just never clicks that so many of her problems are of her own making. That includes her losing her kid, dating horrible people, getting tied up with drugs, and more. For a girl getting 4k/mo from the military and her kid's college covered after her ex's death, she could freakin' coast here, but much like my mom, she's horrible with money.

If they weren't much smarter then an 8th grader, they'd probably be more dangerous. For now, they just get to be really fucking annoying.

I take as much issue with Kirk being presented as an all-American hero as anyone else here, but “the left is gross for celebrating this death” narrative is both supported by evidence and is not a good look for us. I don’t want a rehashed fight over it, I am simply pointing out that this narrative is going to resonate with a lot more Americans than the previous one.
