Its not an opinion. Remember who preceded him? McCarthy (legitimately high-school intelligence per his colleagues.) Boehner (couldn't even pass a less controversial CR with a bigger margin). Ryan (couldn't hold shit together through Trump's first term investigations).
Johnson has done more, with far tighter margins, than anyone this century.
Also Johnson hasn't done shit, everything that's happened is in spite of him not because of him.
It's def been because of him. Not one of those others would be getting 2 clean CRs (3 now?) and a highly controversial bill slashing hundreds of millions from Medicaid with a 5 seat majority. I'm not saying he's doing good work, I'm saying he's been very good at working. Yeah, the Epstein bill got away, but that's almost entirely on Trump for pissing off MTG when she wanted to run for Senate and getting upset with Massie for being too fiscally conservative and voting against the big beautiful bill. I'd imagine Mace was locked in from her history of sex abuse. I think the only one he even had a chance of turning was Boebert.
Stories about the Freedom Caucus fighting with moderates are rare today. They used to be a weekly story. Johnson gets credit for that. He's held that slim majority together more than either of those other 3 could.
Thats...because the moderates are all gone. Jfc.
If you're going to use hyperbole to attempt to win an argument, then I don't know what to say. If you truly believe you cannot find 5 moderates in that caucus, give me a fucking break. Furthermore, the freedom caucus has 31 members. We're talking 5 seat margin.
And let's assume your factually wrong comment were true, it still makes you wrong because most of these battles comes down to how much is added to the deficit as to if the freedom caucus would support. They literally refused to support the initial Senate bill because how much it added to the deficit.
The central flank is the least of the worries during this fights.
The reason McCarthy, Boehner, and Ryan failed is because they failed to keep bold of the right flank, not the moderates.
Johnson has had little issue getting the Freedom Caucus to support deficit adding measures. I wouldn't have imagined pointing out his effectiveness thus far was even controversial.
Dude has that aww’shucks face that’s threatening to no one while spewing enough word salad to sound pragmatic to Billy Bob and Mary Sue.
Is it 25th time yet?
Well past that dude
What did he do/say now?
Idk, have we posted the unhinged truth social farts where he called the video of those Dem Veterans urging Military personnel to disobey "Illegal Orders" and above all else uphold the US Constitution (In context to bombing random boats in international waters), "Seditious Treason punishable by Death"? Later quote tweeting/truthing a few things like "Hang them all its what George Washington would do" and stuff.
Ah yes, I was wondering if there was something more. I know that's bad enough already but there's no bottom here
I saw a thing earlier about how "Quiet, Piggy" should be the last straw and my thought was just 'that's not even the most unhinged thing he's said today'
Something something mumble grumble he says it like it is and that's enough for me
