The Trump administration is ending the federal government’s annual report on hunger in America, stating that it had become “overly politicized” and “rife with inaccuracies.”

The decision comes two and a half months after President Donald Trump signed legislation sharply reducing food aid to the poor. I think Dr. Oz's supplement company sells folinic acid which is what MAHA claims cures autism.

It's not that there's never been a study showing a correlation between tylenol during pregnancy and autism

it's just that if you apply any valid statistical controls to it, the association evaporates.

Nah it's not that folinic acid is a pain-reliever alternative for moms - they're saying it can reverse autism in children (with a little scientific backing)

Note that folic acid has been recommended and included in the routine prenatal vitamins that most pregnant moms have been taking forever.

The leucovorin promise is interesting simply because it's been off-patent forever, so no pharma company has an incentive to conduct expensive trials to open up FDA approval for autism treatment. This is exactly the type of research where the feds should step in and fund the research (although it's looking likely that this is just going to be a YOLO-rollout among interested parents).

At least it's pretty cheap I suppose.

The Tylenol thing is fucking awful though - scaring moms off the only painkiller they can take, blaming others for their autistic children, with no valid science behind it.
