I can already see this feeding into their narrative that college turns people into “woke crazies.” If it’s true that his own father turned him in, that’s absolutely wild. In my life, there are only two people I’d call ride-or-die, my wife and my father.

As a fellow Mormon, I find this disturbing and disgusting on many levels. We are taught the Ten Commandments so this was a kid who didn't listen to his parents or they didn't lay down the law with him or didn't teach him right young for one thing. Also..I'm not saying the victim deserved it, I think if he was doing things he shouldn't he should of received consequences, but not getting shot/the death penalty.

Also I hope this shakes up a lot of LDS folks about politics. Too many are hardcore republicans and won't realize you have to check to see what EXACTLY you are voting for before you cast your vote, which is why I'm independent if anything. Never do vote straight ticket. (And I didn't vote for that cheeto. Never will. With him, I think it's seriously a case of "the very elite were deceived")

Also Yabby; I don't find it unusual from growing up in a third gen LDS family that the dad turned in his son. Most LDS parents if their kid DOES break the law, will uphold the law and turn in their kid. And killing someone is breaking the law. Not to mention with murder, it's considered a unforgivable sin.
