The DoJ has sued the cities of Minneapolis & St Paul, MN for being sanctuary cities. They're doing this so they can legally deploy more ICE agents.

“Minnesota officials are jeopardizing the safety of their own citizens by allowing illegal aliens to circumvent the legal process,” U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement.

Federal courts have recently blocked President Donald Trump from interfering with sanctuary city policies; earlier this year, a federal judge stopped Trump from withholding federal funding from cities that refuse to assist with immigration enforcement, including Minneapolis.

What were seeing is MAGA realizing that running on anything the American people care about is lost, as Trump is underwater everywhere. Economy, goods, trade, inflation, even immigration.

All that's left is crime and chaos, so he is going to invent more of it. I am at the point that we are insulated enough that I'm ready to watch it all burn the fuck down. I hope this shutdown is painful.

Same. I hope people lose jobs, careers, security, and peace (of mind). I hope food bank lines are stacked from open to close. I hope people show up to the doctors and sit there for 6 hours cause there's no staff to assist them. People were warned these exact things would be happening under a Trump administration. I've been preparing, and I hope they have been as well.

Not to be antagonistic to my fellow Americans, but too many of us can not be motivated to do anything unless they are literally suffering the worst of it. Well here comes the suffering. Buck up buckaroos

I'm insulated, I guess, as far as knowing that I'm not going to end up on the street or anything.. but the worst case scenarios from all of this could definitely destroy my retirement or any kind of future comfortabilities. Absolutely nowhere close to being financially independent. Or paid well enough to move to a HCOL blue area.

I imagine it is a lot less stressful for those of you fortunate enough to live in those areas to see the clown show from (relatively speaking) the crowd. Constantly being inundated with all of this garbage and even more so the loudmouthed morons that regurgitate it in public 24/7 is like, 95% of the reason I rant on here so much. Only place I can get it out of my system.
