It literally is the same shit just more aggressive and more out in the open. The GOP can continue the gerrymandering arms race but it's a losing prospect when they have already blown their load in probably the only two states they control that have meaningful populations. Now Dems have picked up governor mansions in two states with decent populations to return the favor.

Oh my bad I forgot how effective dem presidents were at shutting down egregious voter suppression tactics in multiple states over the last two decades. Clearly the executive can tell the states exactly how they can run their elections in spite of constantly being told to fuck off by the supreme court.

NYC just had its highest voter turnout since the 60s. VA democrats now hold their largest majority in the state since the 80s. PA just gave their democratic Supreme Court justices 10 more years. And NJ curb stomped the GOP’s best chance yesterday.

I think Trump and buddies in the admin are doing the things they are doing because they are greedy and think they can get away with all of it by keeping power. Does that extend to all of GOP? I don't know, probably not. Does that mean this admin isn't going to try to undermine elections in their favor? They are already doing it and it goes beyond the gerrymandering that they are doing out in the open.

Of course they've been trying. They've been trying for the last 20 years and have still been unable to consistently hold power. I know this is shocking to hear but rigging our elections is actually really hard. Dude couldn't even stage a coup competently. So forgive me for not abandoning all hope.
