I gotta imagine the new cap rules are suppressing a lot of moves that might have happened otherwise

Literally slaps the goalies glove hand twice but it's not GI. Okay. He's not wrong they definitely gifted them a bad goal

Looks like incidental contact that happened outside of the crease to me. Dude was looking at the shot and going for a possible redirect and the goalie reached forward and hit his stick.
Oh yeah, that's the reasoning for sure. Tarasovs feet are in the crease, but from an above angle we can see his hand is outside the crease. However the stick did initiate contact with him, twice, definitely did affect the goalies ability to save the puck, and we all know full well this call might be made differently by a different officiating crew.

That goal is basically identical to the Finland goal against Canada that was allowed to stand after review in the World Juniors. The argument is the player has just as much right to try to redirect the puck outside the crease as the goalie has to try to stop it.
If it looked like he intentionally slashed the glove then it probably would be called back, but they're calling the act of trying to tip the puck incidental contact.
Oilers with not great goaltending...lol

At this point I hope the Leafs just keep losing until the trade deadline.
Man, I don't know what happened to Vasilevskiy tonight, but I definitely hope it happens again when/if the Canes play TB in the playoffs.
About damn time.
Let’s see those dominoes start to go!

They're looking at the sticks but I'm almost positive it was called back for the skates touching inside the paint.
Not trying to say it's a good call, just that I think the commentators were looking at the wrong thing.
It looks like Miller's right hand bumps into the Goalie's mask and that's probably why. Not agreeing with the call, but that's my best guess why it was called off
This is such a Bill Guerin move lol
