The Sabres/Lightning game tonight was a real barn burner. Over 100 PIMs, 8-7 Buffalo final score. Buffalo was up 4-1 at one point and Tampa scored 5 straight.

The Sabres are now leading the Atlantic which is kinda shocking to me because Tampa was like 22-1-1 through the Winter.

I am very happy for Sabres fans and most of the players on the club, but god damn I didn't realize what a complete bitch Rasmus Dahlin has become.

After he cross checked Malkin hard in the unprotected lower back 3-4 times before Malkin swung on him, he went and cross checked Hagel from behind multiple times last night and then completely turtled when Hagel turned around and went swinging punches on him. Then someone posted him doing it to Marchand on Florida earlier this season too, puck was deep in the Florida zone behind the net and Dahlin just starts nailing Marchand from behind as hes looking back down towards the net. Knocks Marchand down once, 5 seconds go by and the play rotates around to the other side of the zone and then goes back low and Dahlin nails Marchand blindside again 50 feet from the puck and Marchand starts swinging on Dahlin and of course Dahlin turtles again.

Malkin shouldn't swing his stick and deserves his suspension but I am QUICKLY losing any respect for Dahlin.

He's been pretty low-key dirty for a long time. I'm like 95% sure he's the one Matthews crosschecked in the neck by accident, because Dahlin is a crosschecking machine and was just drilling him from behind in front of the net over and over. I don't know why the league treats Crosschecking and Slashing so differently, they're just two different ways to hit someone with your stick.
