think the Spurs will extend it, fat lady ain't quite sung these were close games, but yeah shame look like we ain't getting a deep series. Spurs right there in talent + system, just aren't there in basketball IQ. 30 turnovers vs 20 for the Knicks is about the total difference in these two games.

I was actually surprised to learn it's happened 6 times. 1 loss has also happened 3 times. Most recently GSW in '17 who basically tanked game 4 in Cleveland to rest because they were that much better lol

For sure, I’m not quite buying Knicks in 4, San Antonio is a good team, they just need the playoff experience and take better care of the ball, lots of messy turnovers, especially that bonheaded pass to Castle’s shoulder by Wemby. As others have said, this team will be here again if they stay healthy. It is crazy to think that this is ostensibly as poorly as this Spurs team is going to be.

People say stuff like that all the time about dynastic looking squads but it almost never actually happens.

Wemby is about to get a 420.69 trillion dollar extension in the offseason, they're going to have to choose between Castle or Harper to get another supermax if their performance both stays at the same trajectories. Vassell is a 60-70 mill guy too.

The Spurs may well end up dominating the league but if they do it's going to be Wemby having LeBron level gravity because their payrolls aren't going to be able to do it.

It seems to me that it uses the range of values either at each position or overall for the scoring system, along with weighing rebounds and points very heavily. Since there’s centers from the 60s-70s with some ridiculous rebound stats (abdul jabar, wilt), some modern players are not scored as highly as you would expect, given their lower rebound averages. I got an 82-0 that wasn’t the all historic squad you would expect by stacking the C and PF with rebound numbers
