Bulls need to draft best available shooter - regardless of position - in the second round. They have two picks, just get the best available shooters. When not in transition, their half-court offense is gonna be rough next year.

Spurs going back in and getting Tarris Reed was nice. We got two absolute monsters.
Reaves staying with the lakers, 4 years $185 million
Lamelo Ball trade rumors? he had a good year
Wolves are supposedly desperate to appease Ant, and Charlotte got scared after (almost) making the postseason and didn't want to make that mistake again
Seems like nobody is happy about this trade

Wolves needed a point guard and the Hornets needed more defense is my basic understanding of this trade.
crazy work for the Hornets imo that was a great young core that was poppin by the end of the year
I can understand it a lot more from the Hornets POV if they think him being healthy last season was the exception and not the new normal. The previous 3 seasons he played 47, 22, and 36 games.
Edit : he was also basically on a minutes restriction all season.
he's going to make the wolves really go zoom i think.
It makes more sense for the Hornets though. Picks, gets off Lamelo's upcoming new contract before it becomes a topic, defense and rebounding (Hi Naz) and re-centers the team around Knueppel, Brandon Miller and Coby White (who I assume they are going to resign? - unrestricted next year).
That's going to be a fun team, and more consistent without Ball.
Pretty sure I saw the new Coby White contract like an hour or two after the LaMelo trade dropped.
Edit : 3 year 74 mil
i may be the last LaMelo truther but i'm with Kisada he's an absolute engine offensively and is going to supercharge the staid T-Wolves. Gobert / Ant / McDaniels ought be enough to cover him defensively.
but also Kran is right he's been an injury nightmare so far. high risk high reward.
Nah lamelo is the real deal, it’s his health that is the only question
Charlotte is gonna be ass next year. Idk why they’d make a trade like that. The haul wasn’t even that big

ringer had a great article on charlotte's 5-man starting unit a while back. perhaps they are just pretty concerned he's gonna run another red light and actually kill someone next time around, so might as well trade him at the peak of his value.
wolves have lacked a kind of necessary playmaking you'd like to put next to edwards, so i'm having a lot of trouble seeing people be too, too critical of what twolves did. i mean, at least until he actually runs another red and kills someone.
